About the Project

Imagine being placed in a new foster home with nothing but the clothes on your back. Unfortunately, this is a reality for many children and teens in the foster care system.

Empower packs are designed to combat this by providing personal care items for teens entering foster care. These backpacks are filled with personal hygiene products such as deodorant, toothbrushes, shampoo, feminine hygiene, body spray, etc, as well as a personal message and inspirational quote. Many teens go into foster care with nothing, and the "In the Stars" Project makes a difference with these packs.
