Joe has dedicated over eight years to the outdoor, survival, and wilderness skills space as a successful survival instructor and wilderness skills teacher. His journey has taken him across the globe, teaching in countries like Denmark, Japan, the US, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Finland, and Italy, where he has collaborated with some of the most prestigious schools in this field.
Currently, Joe is a product developer at Helle Knives, where he focuses on designing and bringing exceptional outdoor knives to the market. He has had the privilege of serving as an ambassador for several prominent outdoor brands, sharing his passion for wilderness living and survival tools.
As a writer, he has contributed to both big and small magazines and books, sharing his knowledge, insights, and stories about the outdoors and survival skills. Joe has also authored his own field guides, designed to inspire and educate outdoor enthusiasts.
Additionally, he has built and nurtured a thriving Facebook community (Living To Learn) with over 11,000 members, fostering a space where like-minded individuals can share and connect over their love for the outdoors.
Joe holds certifications in Advanced First Aid, Mountain Leader Skills, Wilderness Living Skills, and Product Development & Design. He has also worked extensively behind the scenes as a product tester, helping brands refine their gear for real-world performance.
