Andrea Zians has been an Assistive Technologist for the past 7 years at Mohawk College and has been teaching in the post-secondary setting for the past 10 years. She has developed expertise in curriculum design, classroom teaching, and learning strategies. She has been in the field of special education for over 20 years and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Toronto in Program Evaluation. Her area of research is in outcome measurement of assistive technology.

Session Description

A look at research around both the process and product of note taking. How to teach both process and product and how AT can support this training. We will look at assessment of note-taking skills, and how to scaffold training to best support students.

How to teach students to take better notes, and how to use technology to support this skill development.
