Integirls Detroit

We are a chapter of inteGIRLS that focuses on the Detroit/Ann Arbor areas. We have lots of fun and exciting opportunities coming soon, so get involved by joining our mailing list and stay tuned for more information!

Our Mission

Our mission is to help encourage and engage young girls and non-binary individuals interested in STEM through various avenues, such as organized speakers, panel discussions on current technology topics, math competitions, etc.

Background

Only 28% of the workforce in STEM fields consist of women, showing that women are greatly outnumbered by men in these fields. As girls who have been interested in STEM throughout high school, we've seen this inequality first hand. We are motivated in bringing interest in STEM to more girls and non-binary students like us. Together, we can end the stigma against women in STEM!
