At long last, I've been able to track down the legendary PRCD 6956-2, the original promotional CD with high-quality copies of all versions of Space Jam including the instrumental. And I've finally gotten around to uploading some lossless WAV files for the tracks! To my knowledge, though there have been vinyl rips before, this is the first digital rip of the instrumental we've been able to find, so enjoy and keep on slamming!

P.S. It should go without saying, but please do not share this link outside the slam-jam-remixing community, and do not use these files for any reason other than fair-use parody. Takedown notices have been issued for Slam Jam rips in the past, and it would be a shame if this was taken down as well.

P.P.S. Unfortunately, even though we have the lossless instrumental, an acapella version isn't going to be easy to make - not only do the instrumental and original mix not line up, but they seem to have been transferred from analog masters, so the speed/pitch fluctuates very slightly, not enough to be heard but enough that it makes separating the acapella non-trivial. If anyone else wants to take a crack at it, please do!

My hope is further enhancing our engagement with young people in DC. We understand that in order to build a brighter future we must do the necessary work now that the younger generations can benefit from. I believe DC SCORES is instrumental in achieving this due to their direct connection with DC youth. Through poetry and soccer, they keep youth engaged, all while continuing building equity and inclusion.

My most memorable event was at the poetry slam. It was my first time attending as my new position as Director of MOLA, at the first DC SCORES poetry slam after the pandemic; the students were so excited! I did not imagine seeing so many students and their families show up. Seeing the students being so engaged and willing to communicate with what they were doing was impressive. It was a reassuring moment that DC SCORES was doing great work with DC youth.

Also in 2005, Timo released his first solo album called 'The Monotrim Project'. It was an all instrumental album, Timo's '360 Systems' guitar synth, which would've been almost 30 years old by now, would've been a dinosaur. It had been replaced by Roland guitar synthesizers. Monotrim Project and Her Fire were recorded using two Roland GR-33's (hooked in tandem), two BOSS FS-5U's, one Roland GFC-50 and a BOSS FV-500L volume pedal. He was now being sponsored by Godin Guitars Canada and plays a Godin LGX-SA. Monotrim Project was recorded by Timo playing his Roland guitar synths, straight lead guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass. He was backed up by long time Slam musicians Noe Cruz on bass and Bob Winn on drums. e24fc04721
