NeuroInformatics for Aging (NIA)
In east and south east Asia, over a third of the population is expected to be 60 years or older by 2050, whereas in North and Central Asia one in four persons will be 60 years or older.
Neuroinformatics is a research field concerned with the organization of neuroscience data by the application of computational models and analytical tools.
Collaboration between neuroscientists and computer scientists is necessary to make both new and old neuroscience data more accessible and more useful to the research community, and to advance our understanding of the brain at a much faster rate than previously possible.

Technological Backgrounds
Beside the neuroinformatic technologies, such as data basing, atlasing or computational modeling, sensing for physical and physiological logging, communication and robotics technologies, and artificial intelligence methods will be incorporated in NIA.
INCF is an international non-profit organization devoted to advancing the field of neuroinformatics, which functions through its global network consisting of Governing and Associate Nodes. INCF's network consists of countries, regions, organizations, and individual neuroscience researchers who collaborate to develop and promote global brain research.
