Instametric — Privacy Policy

Instametric is a Chrome extension that shows you analytics about your Instagram account and lets you track public Instagram profiles. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it's handled.

What the extension accesses
When you use Instametric on instagram.com, it reads Instagram data through your own logged-in session, including your followers and following (and the changes between them), story viewer and post-liker information for your account, and public profile details (usernames, display names, profile pictures, follower counts) for accounts you view or add to your Watchlist. It uses your existing Instagram session to do this and never asks for, sees, or stores your password.

Where your data is stored
All of this data is stored locally in your browser, on your device. It is not sent to us or any server we operate. We do not have a database of your information and cannot see your data.

What we do not collect
We do not collect or transmit your passwords, your browsing history outside Instagram, your location, or any financial or health information. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising, credit, or lending purposes.

Third-party services
Payments for the Pro subscription are handled by ExtPay and Stripe. Your payment is processed on their pages; the extension does not see or store your card details. The optional "View Anonymously" feature opens a third-party Instagram viewer site to check whether an account is active; that site is operated independently under its own privacy policy.

Deleting your data
Everything is stored locally, so you're in control. You can clear tracked items in the app, or uninstall the extension, which deletes all of its stored data from your browser.

Children
Instametric is not directed to children under 13.

Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
