I'm asking because Medium won't allow me to embed a full story map into a post, so I'm hoping to be able to take the story map as a file and upload it that way. I also don't want to go through the complications of hosting, editing code, etc. Thanks!

There's not a way to download a completed story map to a file like that and reconstitute it. The closest we have is that you can print a Story Map Cascade or Story Map Journal to a PDF file. If you want to host a story map on your own server, it is pretty easy: you just download the source code into a folder on your server then add the ID of your hosted story map app in ArcGIS Online into the index.html file. The maps, data, images etc used in your story map all remain hosted in ArcGIS Online: your server just has an instance of the source code. But if you can't embed a hosted story map in Medium, then self-hosting the story map would I think give you the same result, and wouldn't let you embed.

In this case I would just not embed the story map. Story maps have to be embedded in quite large frames to be usable. Instead you could add screenshot to your post and link to the story map in a different tab. That gives readers the best experience because your story map will fill their display.

Kevin - Unfortunately, there's not a way to simply download an individual story and its content. Since story maps are interactive products they need software, web services, and databases to render the story, maps, and data layers.

Hi Kevin -- Depends on what you mean by "download." Story Map template apps are open source and the code can be downloaded from Github and hosted on your own server. However, the app still points to ArcGIS Online or an ArcGIS Enterprise portal to get the story content and maps. For more information and detailed instructions on how to how a story map on your own server see this article.

Sorry for the confusion, the user has already created the maps and are currently hosted on arcgis online. I was wondering if the created maps & content could be downloaded to be hosted on a local server.

Sorry for the confusion, I would like to transfer a cascade story map(s) app hosted on ArcGis Online to my local ArcGIS Enterprise environment with out having to recreate the applications(s). Is there any way to do this?

I'm currently deployed on a Navy ship, and have recently been getting back into Magic (haven't played since the early 2000s) due to a combination of a bunch of precon decks that got sent out in care packages, plus some cards that a few active players brought in that we've been trading around. Because of this, and because it can get boring on the ship and I'm always looking for new reading material, I've been trying to get caught up on the story (specifically all the stuff that's been going on with Nicol Bolas) but unfortunately the WotC website is blocked on the ship's network, so I can't just go there and read the stories they have up there.

Is there anyplace I can download a compilation of all the stories they have up on the official website? We're on a port call right now, so I can download anything I want, but I'm not going to have time to go to the site, click individually on every story up there, save each one, and then email all that to myself. I've only got limited time on dry land, here.

I've seen links on this sub already to summaries of the story, which is pretty cool, but to be honest I'm less interested in just getting caught up with the story in general as I am with being able to actually READ the story.

If the answer is, "there's a bunch of them printed together in novels that are available in ebook format on Amazon," or something like that, which books collect everything in the recent story? And are there any others you all would suggest?

Instagram is a social media platform that allows users to post stories and share them with their followers. You can also create stories and highlights similar to Snapchat stories. Our website allows you to download Instagram story with one click!

Once you're familiar with Twine, you should learn more about the story format you're using. Story formats are like game engines, and determine the features you'll have access to and the way you'll write code.

Non-financial support is important, too. You can help someone out with a question, contribute to the Cookbook, create tutorials of your own, help fix bugs in Twine or its story formats, or translate Twine's user interface to another language.

All your downloads are automatically saved in the Downloads. We strongly recommend that you use the key combination (Ctrl+J for Windows and Shift+Command+J for Mac) to view the list of the photos or videos that were downloaded.

You can save Instagram stories from the app if you are the author. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner, select Save from the dropdown and get the photo or video in the gallery right after. There is not the same feature available to download other people's Instagram stories on the platform. To do that, you will have to apply third-party services that provide stories downloading in the original quality and resolution.

The Story Downloader from Inflact saves stories with audio by default. If the original fragment contains music or sound, rest assured to have them on your device. The only limitation is the inability to save any audio separately from the visual part. The tool treats the entire story as a single unit, and no detached MP3 or JPG parts are allowed to be downloaded.

Since the downloading process is approved only for the entire fragments, no audio or visual parts can be removed from them. It is not possible to save a photo or a video without a text if it is present in the original story. However, the tool saves without watermarks, so no additional text elements will be included.

I've purchased the game (at least this is what it's telling me when i go to buy again the game) but when i go to store to download it won't let me in. It says invalid email or password. When i go to "Forgot my password and insert my email to reset thee password" i receive no e-mail. Any help?????

Hey @AlgorithmicMind, sorry for the troubles. The forum and game account are currently separate. Upon purchase you should have received an email that contains a link for creating your game account and for downloading the game.

Just bought the game, currently trying to install, but having trouble. It wants me to download the runtime thing, and I do, and then it gives me a no access error to create a Lora Bold Font file in the directory. Any guidance? Thanks.

I uploaded several courses (as story files) to oneDrive from my hard drive on my PC. Now I want to work on one of them on my laptop but when I click to download, instead of giving me the same story file, the system is downloading the course as zip file. Is there any way to download the original story file that I uploaded?

Not strange at all. It is a zip file, even if SL names it .story. When oneDrive receives it, it keeps the .story extension. When it prepares to download it, it recognizes it as a zip file, and changes the extension to .zip. It is exactly the same file. After you download it, you change .zip to .story, and SL knows how to load it.

On almost every story from NPR news and music you now have the ability to take the audio with you and enjoy it anywhere. While online you can download and save your favorite interviews, reports, performances and more. Then add the audio to your mp3 player, phone, laptop or netbook to take with you and listen offline wherever you go. It's one more way NPR is making it easier for you to listen and share.

To download audio from NPR, just find any story like this one from Nina Totenberg, Obama Picks Sotomayor For High Court click on the link with the red 'down' arrow and a download of the mp3 file will begin automatically.

You will find several types of stories don't have a download available. These will usually be things like exclusive music tracks, live concerts or acquired programs we don't have all the rights to. Not all our archives are available in a format that's downloadable, so you won't find links to those stories either but we'll be adding more in the future. You may also notice these mp3s don't have all the ID3 tags and information about the story you might like to find tagged in the file. This is an improvement we are working on and will be bringing to you soon to make it easier to organize all the NPR stories saved in your collection.
