Did you know that with Agorapulse, you can now schedule Instagram Reels? This is great news for social media managers who often struggle to manage Instagram posts, Reels and Stories via their mobile device.

Since its introduction in 2020, Instagram has added more and more Reels features for creators to take advantage of. Most recently, it has added the Reels Play Bonus, where creators can make money per Reels view. Read on to learn more about it.

Once set up, you receive a payout for your reels at the end of 30 days, during which you can choose up to 150 Reels to count towards the bonus. Paid, sponsored, or partnership Reels are not eligible for the bonus.

Your end payout is based on the number of Bonus Plays (number of views your Reel receives on Instagram or Facebook). However, you have to earn a minimum of $100 to cash out and reach a minimum view requirement, but Instagram personalizes this for each creator so there is no earrings benchmark to follow.

There are over 1 billion Instagram app users, and that number continues to grow. However, with increasing users, there is a need for new functions to keep up with other platforms. One of these newer functions is Instagram reels.

Reels are short with a time limit, so you need to use your reel time wisely. Read on if you want to know the tips and tricks to create reels that will do well. Here are seven tips for using your reel time wisely.

A minute-long reel gives you plenty of opportunities to share content, whereas a 15 or 30-second Instagram reel length is better when you want to share a specific piece of information.

Change your reel time on the Instagram app. Open the Instagram app and click on the plus, then reel to bring up the reel screen. You will see a number on the left side, such as 30. Click on this to change the reel time.

The average human attention span is around eight seconds, so you have to grab user attention quickly with reels. One of the best ways to do this is using high-quality videos. It does not matter about your reel time if you use poor-quality videos, which will not be favored by Instagram or your users.

You can upload a video from your camera roll or record videos on Instagram directly. You can also turn on the high-quality uploads setting on Instagram, under settings>account>data usage. Be sure that the video has the correct Instagram reel dimensions for the screen too.

85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound, and this statistic will also be similar to social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. So, it is also essential to get creative with your reels. Stop people scrolling past your video with eye-catching text animations.

Instagram has a wide range of audio options in its library, and you can also use applications to find the best music or sounds for your reel. Research trendy songs on Instagram reels in 2021 and 2022 for inspiration. You can even time the video to work with the music, which can engage viewers.

Plan your content, so it is interesting for viewers. Consider the purpose of your Instagram page and how you can link reel content. Some effective content ideas for how to use Instagram reels include:

Short videos are the perfect opportunity to deliver concise, educational, and entertaining content for viewers. You want viewers to get value from your reels, be it learning new information, feeling a particular emotion, or taking a specific action, such as following your page or signing up for a course. Collaborations are a great way to connect with a broader audience, build credibility, and gain exposure.

If you are unsure where to start with how to make Instagram reels, research the current trends, such as dances. They come and go quickly, but they are a great way to gain visibility and reach a wider audience.

This is a wise way to use your reel time to gain benefits quickly, but if you want longer-term benefits, work out how to make the trend your own. Trends can vary between Instagram reels vs. TikTok, but dances are a popular go-to.

There are many tips to get you started with Instagram reels, but one of the main ways to learn how to utilize reel time is through practice. Have patience with yourself and do not compare with others if Instagram reels are not working for you initially. Sometimes reels take time to become popular, so you can also add the reel to your Instagram feed and let people watch your hard work.

It is also essential to have the right technology to create quality reels. Turn your reel and story ideas into powerful visuals with the mojo app, which has all the editing tools you need. Try it for free today and get started.

But TikTok videos appearing on a competitor's copycat have their own implications, especially at a time when officials are watching tech companies like a hawk to see if they're engaging in anticompetitive behavior. (It's worth noting that TikTok copied Instagram too with its new Stories feature.)

TikTok has soared in popularity since it sprung onto the scene in 2016, spawning new content creators, so-called hype houses, and sometimes dangerous online trends. It had 732 million global monthly active users in 2020 and has been downloaded three billion times, a milestone that only Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram have achieved.

Social media rivals took note of that success and created similar TikTok-like features on their own platforms. Snapchat rolled out a section called Spotlight in November 2020 that resembled TikTok's "For you" page. And Instagram launched its Reels tool in August 2020.

Some new videos appear to have been produced right from Reels. But other videos, bearing a TikTok logo, appear to have been posted on the video-sharing app, saved by the user, and then uploaded to Instagram Reels. That doesn't even include the videos that may have been first posted on TikTok that don't have the logo.

Social media companies make money by essentially selling people's attention to advertisers. So if Instagram users are consuming videos, many of which originated on TikTok, then the app is somewhat helping the firm turn a profit.

An Instagram spokesperson told Insider that watermarked content from outside Reels is allowed, but its research shows people don't love seeing recycled content, so it made changes to make it less discoverable.

Things only got better on Instagram, IMO, with the introduction of Reels back in August 2020. A response to the video frenzy intensified by TikTok, Reels gave Instagram creators and businesses another way to express themselves in the app, another way to engage, entertain, and retain your audience.

Whether you are already creating Instagram Reels for your business or have yet to create your first, understanding how Instagram Reels algorithm can work in your favor will help you get more out of your Reels as you experiment, create, and share.

While there are good tips and tricks out there, the best way for you to figure out what time you should post your content is to relentlessly experiment, then look at the data. Instagram Insights will tell you when your audience is most active. Use that as your guide.

The length of your Instagram Reels can impact how many people engage with them. When you find the right length for your Reels, the algorithm works to your advantage. That means new users will discover your Reels!

Extra tip: According to Instagram, only 60% of people listen to Instagram Stories with the sound on. That means 40% of users watch without sound! Always add on-screen text and subtitles to help you reach more users.

Right now, when it comes to Instagram Reels, Later is not able to tag people/products, add audio, upload a separate image for the cover photo, or access other Instagram-Reel-specific effects to a post before publishing due to API(the way we connect to Instagram) limitations.

That said, we recommend Notification Publishing if you are trying to add sounds to your Reels. With Notification Publishing, you can add a separate cover photo, audio, or any other effects specific to the Instagram app. You can learn more about that here: Publish Instagram Reels Using Notification Publishing.

Hey @sarahh! This is still the only way to publish at this time due to limitations with Instagram's Partner API (the way we connect to Instagram). So, if you're using Auto Publish, you'll want to upload the media with the audio already added. Alternatively, you can schedule it for Notification publishing and then will be able to add trending audio when publishing it manually in the Instagram app.

Hello, @garethhookham - thanks for reaching out about this. Happy to help! Certainly! Yes, you'll need to follow these steps for each platform - Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You have to schedule the media on Later for Notification Publishing on each platform separately. When it's time to publish, you'll receive separate notifications for each platform. From there, you can add the audio, copy the caption, and proceed with publishing.

What's the value of later.com if I'm not able to add music to the reels? Please help me understand the use case. If Im on IG, I can edit the reel, add music, tags, etc and schedule the post accordingly. What is the advantage of your product? I am struggling to understand the value proposition. e24fc04721
