Not sure about helping fix the issue. I can however see a profile picture for you. Maybe it worked even though it doesn't appear to have on your end. Try refreshing your browser to see if you can see the image.

I would suggest checking in with your account's System Admin about this. If you're on an Enterprise plan, it's possible that there may be global account settings configured for your organization that may affect pictures showing. See "Profile Visibility" in this article: Manage global account settings

I've been having the same issue for months - I upload a picture and it appears to take in the profile settings but then my picture displays as a grey circle in Smartsheet and as a broken image in the premium apps like Calendar App and Dynamic View (see screenshot). Other users in our tenant have pics and as a system admin, I've checked that there aren't restrictions. Clearing my browser cache didn't help and I've tried it in Incognito mode, on another computer, and on my mobile device. Nothing gets my profile pic working so I believe there's something corrupted in my profile on Smartsheet's end. Doesn't seem to be solvable at the tenant/user level.

Thank you for confirming this is happening for you as well! I've checked in with our Support team and they've confirmed that some profile pictures not uploading fully is a currently known bug that's being investigated. I don't have an ETA for when this will be resolved, but we're working on it.

So it seems that Duolingo has replaced the profile picture option with an avatar. The avatar is highly customizable, which is very good, but users who want to use an image of their own have to be stuck with the one they've got currently, which is very very bad. Removing features is never a good idea.

With our small development team, we recently switched to Azure DevOps. I successfully connected our tenant to DevOps, in the sense that users are available. From other posts, I understand that profile pictures are not automatically synchronized, and that each user needs to add their own profile picture in DevOps. However, even after doing so, the profile pictures do not appear in all places. Most crucially, they do not appear on cards on boards. They do, however, appear in the top right corner and when configuring the team.

After you change profile pictures in azure devops , you could clear browser data or you need to wait for some hours or days to let it change to the new one. And also try with the another browser window.

I implemented a signup with Facebook option, which, as is typical, allows users to use their FB profile picture as their profile picture in my Bubble app. Things are all fine and dandy for a few days, maybe even a week or two, and then the profile pictures disappear. It only happens to these FB test users too, not to ones that signed up through the normal form.

And again manually clearing it (hit clear in app data, which I guess is same as if I were to set it to null in the app) and then logging back in (which forces a reacquire) magically restores my profile image:

Do Facebook profile images expire or something? Should I always (on login via Facebook flow) set the profile image to null and then reacquire it? (I guess that would prevent the issue from ever happening, but seems wasteful of bits.

If your institution has enabled profile pictures, you can add and change profile pictures in your account. If you do not see a placeholder picture in your user settings, your institution has not enabled this feature.

To upload a new profile picture, click the Upload a Picture tab [1], then click the choose a picture link [2]. You can also drag a picture from your desktop and drop it into the uploader.

Note: Canvas will automatically store a copy of the saved profile picture in your personal files. When a new picture is saved in your profile, the new picture will override the existing picture file in your personal files.

This article describes the SharePoint Online user profile picture synchronization process in Microsoft 365. This includes information about where you should see the profile pictures and where the profile pictures are stored in SharePoint Online.

Your profile pictures are stored in the My Site Host site collection. The My Site Host site collection is created from the SPSMSITEHOST#0 template. When the SharePoint Online tenant is provisioned, a My Site Host site collection is created. The profile pictures are stored in a document library that's named "User Photos." The pictures are stored in a folder inside the User Photo document library by having a .jpg filename extension. The name of the folder will vary, depending on what the My Site Host root web locale is set to at the time of photo upload or synchronization.

For some reason, after the latest Teams update (I don't actually know if I'm behind or not, but it changed the icons and the colour scheme of the app), I can't see some of my friends' profile pics. Just two of them. Can you please explain what happened and what steps I can do to fix that? Thank you very much!

I'm having an issue regarding Office 365 profile pictures not displaying on the Modern SharePoint People Web Part inside Office 365. We have this issue seen in two separate Office 365 tenants, both located in Europe. One tenant is Cloud only, so it's not connected via Azure AD Connect. The other tenant is using federated accounts and has both Azure AD Connect and ADFS implemented.

When the profile picture is set in Office 365, it is shown in all Office 365 Apps, except inside the SharePoint People Web Part on a Modern SharePoint Site Page. When I remove the picture using the Change Picture link inside the Office 365 Suite Bar, or remove it via Microsoft Teams and later change it to a different picture, we run into the same scenario: The picture is shown everywhere in Office 365, except inside the SharePoint People Web Part located on a Modern SharePoint Site Page.

This issue is fixed now for the customer. Using Microsoft Support, they were able to make required changes serverside which caused the issue for some Office 365 users. For some users specific users attributes were not set, for others they were according to Microsoft, although were not able to change these from our side. Microsoft changed things serverside to handle this. After a serverside sync update, the Office 365 profile pictures also started to display for each user inside the SharePoint People web part on Modern Site Pages.

Is the "fix" implemented by Microsoft support a permanent fix or a one-time sync that would need to be repeated frequently to keep the pictures in sync? Or is it one time for the current users, but will need to be repeated for new users?

Profile pictures are a great way to personalize the experience for students, admins, staff, and parents! Student profile pictures can be managed by any user with edit permissions for that student and any admin, staff member, or parent can also add their own profile picture to their account by following the guidance below.

Admins and Staff who have Edit Permissions can add or edit student profile pictures from the student's account in the brightwheel mobile app. Parents (but not Family or Approved Pickups) can also add or edit a profile picture for their child from the mobile app.

All admins, staff members, and student contacts can also add a personal profile picture. This is particularly helpful when communicating back and forth with parents and staff members depending on what kind of user you are.

@amaitchandak, thank you but this solution does not work as the pictures stored there are not showing correctly. I think because binary to base64 size limitation but i'm not sure.

Do you have any other solution?

Thank you!

I've tried different methods but I couldn't get these pictures. Using Active Directory in Power BI, pictures are diferent from Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra).

I'll be greatfull if you can share how to get it

Hi,

I honestly don't remember exactly, but I do remember we ended up saving the pictures somewhere on the server and using Base64 to png. I think that was the only solution we came up with.

PhotoFeeler, a neat tool that lets you get feedback on your profile pictures via feedback from actual people who vote on your picture, shared their learnings from over 60,000 ratings of competence, likability, and influence that were left on photos submitted to the PhotoFeeler app.

Another study from OkCupid looked at the profile pictures of over 7,100 users and noted which effects brought the most contacts. One of the most interesting takeaways here was the effect of looking at the camera vs. looking off-camera.

We are standardizing our profile pictures and hosting them on their AD account. I have this part working for everyone. Unfortunately the people who set their profile pictures previously are not getting their photos overwritten, so I ran a remove-userphoto for everyone. After running that, I can see the new photos, but I have no be in OWA. I'm assuming these are cached. Is there a way to force that cache to get cleared? 2351a5e196
