So, grab your phone and find the video that you wanna download

Now, click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side

Then, you wanna choose "copy link"

Once you copied the link, go to an app called “Repost for Instagram” (there are a few of them on the App Store, they are all free and they all work good) and then, after you copied the link of the Instagram video, it’ll automatically paste the link inside the app

You don’t have to do anything

And now, you can click on "download"

or directly repost the photo on your feed/story

Wait a couple of seconds and you’ll see that your video has been saved to your photos

You can even check if the photo or the video has been saved correctly by going on your “photos”, and then on “camera roll”

Download from your phone

The second method is very similar to the previous one

What you have to do is to go on the video that you wanna save and click on “copy link”

Then go on any browser, like Safari or Google Chrome and here you can paste the link of the video in the search bar

Here, before going, add the letter “q” before the word Instagram and then click enter

You’ll be redirected to a website called socialdown.com and here you can download the video by clicking on “go”

Wait a couple of seconds and you’ll have your file.

To save it, click on the Save button on the right corner and here you can for example save it into dropbox

You can rename the file, so it’ll be easier to find it in the future

Here, you can go on your dropbox and you’ll see your video downloaded on mp4!

Download from your computer

Now let’s see how you can download Instagram content from your laptop

You can use whatever you want, MAC or PC, it doesn’t matter

All you have to do is install Google Chrome and use a couple of extensions

So, how can you download Instagram media on your computer?

First of all, open the Instagram web (you only have to search for Instagram and then log into your account)

Now you can find the video that you wanna download, but if you right-click on the media, you can’t save the video directly

So, you have to use an extension called Instagram downloader

It’s a free extension that you can easily download it by searching it on Chrome

Once you downloaded the extension, to open it, you have to click on the “3 dots” on the right-hand side of the first page of Google and go to “More tools” and then select “extension”

Once you find the InstaG Downloader extension, enable it by pressing this button

Then, go back to your Instagram page and refresh it

Now, if you pass your mouse on the image that you wanna download, you'll see a download button

Press it and you'll be able to download the photo/video

The second extension you can use is called “improve layout for Instagram”

Once you enable it, you’ll see Instagram in a completely different layout

Here, you can right-click on the photo or video you want to download and select “save video as”

Also, if you want to download an Instagram story, just click on the story and then “save video as”

Another valid option is called “internet download manager”

This is the only paid tool but, if you want to invest some bucks, this is a really great choice

With this software, all you have to do is go on the video you wanna download and then click the download button that will appear at the top of the video/image, story…

The last app you wanna use is called "Instagramer"

It's very useful if you want to save other people's stories

It's really easy to use:

Go on the Instagram web
Search the profile you wanna save the stories
Copy the username or the URL

Paste the username in the imput box

Press the download button

Choose the story you are interested in and press "download" on the story

If you have an iPhone, you only have to swipe up and you’ll see the option “record”

How to download videos from a private account

If you want to download photos or videos from a private account, you have to follow it and have access to that page, otherwise, it will impossible for you to download anything

If you don’t want, for whatever reason, compromise your account, you can create another one (maybe a theme page, so you don’t have to show your face, like a dog fan page or something like that), request for access, and then download the media with the methods showed before

How to download Instagram stories from your phone

Unfortunately, you can’t download Instagram stories from your smartphone, you have to use a chrome extension on your computer, but you’ve seen that they are really easy to install and use

How to download an Instagram live video

Saving these type of videos is very easy

You only have to use the same Google Chrome extension you used to download stories

To download a live, you first need to wait while it’s converted

Once the live is finished, you can download the video in the next 24 hours before it disappears

Some accounts also add their live videos as highlights, so they are always available at the top of the profile

All you’ve to do is download the video as an Instagram story with the extensions showed before

How to repost other people’s video

Now that you know how you can save other people’s photos, videos, reels, and stories, let’s see if you can repost them on your page and make money from

Well, you’ve to know that most of the theme pages that you see on Instagram don’t use their content but they repost other people's media
