In this article, we’ll cover:

• How to reset your password with your email address or phone number

• How to reset your password without your email address and phone number

First of all, let’s see what you can do if you have the phone number or the email associated with that account

At this point, this blue button “next” will come up and you can tap it

Now it’ll go ahead and it’ll ask you for the confirmation code

So what you wanna do now is to go on to your email (or message received if you used your phone number) and submit the code that Instagram has sent you right here

If you don’t see any new email or message, make sure to wait a couple of minutes and check in the spam folder, but if the code doesn’t arrive, click “resend a new code”

If the code still doesn’t arrive, make sure to do a step back and check if you’ve inserted the right email address or the right phone number

After entering the code that Instagram sent you, click next

You'll be redirected to a new page and here you’ll be able to change your password..and that’s it!

You only need to remember your phone number or your email address associated with that account and you’re done

Really easy right?

Once you changed the password, you’ll only need to come over to the Instagram login page and type in your username and your new password

Now, let’s see how you can recover your Instagram account without the email address, phone number, password, and any Facebook account associated!

If you have a Facebook account associated with your Instagram account, you can easily log in using Facebook

They will ask you for confirmation on your Facebook page and then you’ll be able to enter in your Instagram account

But if you don’t have it connected with your Facebook I’ll show you how to get it!

So, what you wanna do is tapping on “login help”

You’ll be redirected to a new page and here you’ll have to type in your username and then click next

Now, you can send an email or log in with Facebook, but both of them are not possible for you, so you can click on “need more help?”

You’ll be redirected to a page that can help you recover your password and the best way to do it is to go over “I think my Instagram account has been hacked”

If you open this one, it will explain to you all the actions that you have to take to secure your account if your account has been hacked

It says that you can check your email address, but you don’t know it

Then it says that you can check your phone number, but you don’t know it either

So what you wanna do is to go over to Gmail and message the Instagram support manually and you want to write:

at: support@instagram.com

subject: account recovery

Dear support,

my Instagram account is lost.

I don’t know the phone number or the email address

(Here you have to add some detail to your account like “In this account, there are pictures of me”, “I published these type of stories” or anything that allows the Instagram support to understand that you’re the actual owner of this account)

In the following hours, they will reach out to you asking for some proof that you’re the actual owner of the account, and then, once they verify them, they will allow you to reset your password and access your account!

So, that’s pretty much everything you have to do if you want to recover your account and you don’t have your email address or your phone number
