Psychotherapy is insurance reimbursable and requires that the client be diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis and this becomes part of the medical record. The purpose of psychotherapy is to address mental and emotional symptoms and the underlying causes of those symptoms. Psychotherapy can only be provided in the state in which you reside by a provider who is licensed to practice in that specific state.

There is so much research now on the health, and mental health, benefits of meditation, there's no reason not to avail yourself of a trained meditation teacher.
Sometimes meditation group training just isn't the right way to go. I have been teaching and practicing meditation for many years.
I am a Certified Transformation Meditation instructor (Transformation Meditation Institute) , a Transcendental meditation practitioner, and also hold Vipassana (Insight) Meditation sittings weekly in my office in Timonium, MD.
