What is 100% Match and how did it start?
100% Match is a podcast we decided to start because we had so much going on in our lives the first few weeks of school and we just wanted to talk about it. We came up with the idea because we always had our window open at night, and we would be talking so loudly about our day we would joke that people walking by outside must be listening in, like they are listening to a podcast. For a while it was just a joke, but eventually we decided to sit down one night and record ourselves. We came up with the name because on our roommate quiz we were apparently a 100% match.
What’s the podcast about?
The podcast is basically about just what we have going on in our lives. Every person we talk about has a code name, but we discuss our love lives and the crazy drama surrounding it all. We mostly just need an outlet to share all the wild things that have happened to us from going to the hospital to strange encounters and JoJo Siwa stories. It’s just about us navigating our college life and how strange everything is that’s happening to us.
How often do episodes come out?
We were going to be releasing episodes biweekly, but because of when we started, we took a bit of a longer time between the most recently published podcast and the next episode that will be coming out. We plan to do one more before winter break (since we won’t be together) and then we will pick back up with doing it biweekly again next semester.
