Simple vehicle maintenance tracking. Your records, on your device.
Input Maintenance is a simple vehicle maintenance and repair tracker designed to help you keep important information about your vehicle organized in one place.
Keep track of your vehicle's current mileage, maintenance, repairs, service history, and expenses without creating an account.
Keep your vehicle information organized in your personal garage.
Input Maintenance stores important vehicle details including:
Year
Make
Model
Trim, when available
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Current mileage
Your current mileage is displayed prominently so you can quickly see and update your vehicle's mileage.
Instead of manually entering your vehicle information, Input Maintenance includes VIN lookup.
Enter a valid 17-character VIN and the app can retrieve available information such as:
Model year
Manufacturer
Make
Model
Trim, when available
VIN information is retrieved using the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vehicle information service.
Create a history of routine vehicle maintenance.
Supported maintenance categories include:
Oil and filter changes
Tire rotations
Tires
Brake service
Brake fluid
Transmission fluid
Coolant
Engine air filters
Cabin air filters

Other maintenance
Each record can include information such as the date, vehicle mileage, cost, service location, description, and notes.
Input Maintenance isn't limited to scheduled maintenance.
You can also create records for vehicle repairs so you have a history of work performed on your vehicle.
Repair records can include:
Repair description
Date
Vehicle mileage
Repair cost
Shop or service location
Additional notes
This makes it easier to remember what was repaired and when the work was completed.
Keep track of how much you've spent on your vehicle.
Costs entered with your records are included in your vehicle's total expenses, giving you a quick view of how much you've recorded spending on maintenance and repairs.
Additional expense categories are available for items such as fuel, insurance, parking, tolls, and other vehicle-related expenses.
Your vehicle's current mileage is one of the most important pieces of information for maintaining a car.
Input Maintenance places the current mileage prominently on the vehicle screen.
Mileage can be updated at any time, and maintenance or repair records can also include the mileage at which the service occurred.
Your maintenance and repair records are kept together in your vehicle's history.
This gives you a simple chronological record of the work you've logged for your vehicle.

Your privacy is important.
Input Maintenance was designed around a simple principle: your vehicle maintenance records should remain under your control.
Input Maintenance does not require an account.
The app does not operate a remote database or server that stores the maintenance information you enter.
Vehicle information and records created within Input Maintenance are stored locally on your device using Apple's local storage technologies.
Locally stored information may include:
Vehicle information
VIN
Current mileage
Maintenance records
Repair records
Expense records
Service dates
Costs
Shop or service location
Notes
Input Maintenance does not upload these saved maintenance records to an Input Maintenance server.
Input Maintenance includes an optional VIN lookup feature.
When you choose to perform a VIN lookup, the VIN you enter must be transmitted over the internet to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vehicle information service.
This request is necessary to retrieve available information associated with the VIN, such as the vehicle's year, manufacturer, make, model, and other available specifications.
Input Maintenance does not operate NHTSA's systems.
Information transmitted to NHTSA may therefore be subject to the privacy practices and policies of NHTSA and the United States Department of Transportation.
Your maintenance history, repair history, mileage records, expenses, and notes are not sent to NHTSA as part of the VIN lookup request.
Input Maintenance does not currently use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Input Maintenance does not use your vehicle maintenance records for advertising profiles.
Input Maintenance does not currently display third-party advertisements.
Input Maintenance does not sell your personal information.
We do not sell your vehicle information, maintenance history, repair history, mileage information, expenses, or notes to advertisers or data brokers.
Input Maintenance does not share your locally stored maintenance, repair, mileage, expense, or notes data with advertisers or data brokers.
When you intentionally use the VIN lookup feature, the VIN you provide is transmitted to NHTSA for the purpose of retrieving available vehicle information.
Input Maintenance minimizes remote collection of information by keeping your vehicle records locally on your device.
The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of your device and its operating system.
We recommend protecting your device with Apple's available security features, such as a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID where supported.
Because Input Maintenance stores its records locally, deleting records from within the app removes those records from the app's local database.
Deleting Input Maintenance from your device may also permanently delete locally stored Input Maintenance data.
Users should ensure they have retained any information they wish to keep before deleting the application.
Input Maintenance may evolve over time.
If features are added that change how information is collected, stored, processed, or shared, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when material changes are made.
