During job shadowing in Turkey, teachers of our school visited the Ito Huma Hatun Imam Hatip Ortaokulu facility in Istanbul. They observed the work of Turkish colleagues, learned about modern methods of conducting lessons and extracurricular activities, including: reverse lessons, lessons using CLIL and STEM elements, lessons using ICT using mobile applications, quizzes, the Symbaloo platform and the BookWidgets application for preparing language classes and creating lesson plans. They have also acquired the ability to use the Explaining everywhere application in the lessons, which is widely used in the host school by teachers of various subjects, it allows students and teachers to present topics by means of an interactive screen. The teachers also observed the activities based on biological and physical experiments and experiments. They gained knowledge about the Turkish education system, teacher training, school management methods and the functioning of the student self-government at school. Another positive experience was the meeting with teachers of the host school who were very open to the exchange of experiences, as well as informative discussions with the school management about teaching methods and ways to support students with disabilities.
