The Innovation and Experiential Education Learning Project aims to foster a generation of well-rounded, competent individuals prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our objectives are as follows:
To equip youth with competencies that meet the demands of the job market and contribute to the economic and social development of the country.
To develop youth with fundamental skills and attributes of Thai citizens and the necessary skills and characteristics for the 21st century.
To promote and develop quality learning resources, textbooks, and educational media that meet standards, enabling the public to access learning resources without time and place constraints.
To enhance and reshape youth values to instill discipline, public-mindedness, and desirable behaviors.
To ensure that all youth have equal opportunities and access to quality education by utilizing digital technology for education.
The Innovation and Experiential Education Learning Project is a non-profit organization that cultivates innovation competencies in youth through the following approaches:
Promote knowledge about innovation creation through experiential teaching and learning methods.
Provide an integrated education combining digital learning systems and traditional classroom learning.
Prepare youth for the new world of business, industry, and modern agriculture.
Develop youth to have stable life paths by adhering to the principles of being good and competent individuals.
According to the Thai's National Strategy for the 20-year period (2017 - 2036), there is a mandate to reform education and learning, allowing civil society organizations and the private sector to participate in providing inclusive and quality education to develop people of all ages by promoting lifelong learning. The strategy aims to build an innovative society, drive research and development towards commercial use, and instill good values and conscience. This aligns with defining the essential competencies of individuals in the 21st century.
The competencies of individuals in the 21st century include literacy, numeracy, scientific knowledge, information technology literacy, financial literacy, understanding of social and cultural regulations, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, communication skills, collaboration skills, curiosity, initiative, perseverance, adaptability, leadership, and social and cultural awareness. Experiential education is a method that can rapidly promote the knowledge, skills, and experiences of learners.
Experiential education involves organizing practical learning experiences with the primary objective of equipping learners with both knowledge and practical skills. Learners engage in hands-on activities for an adequate and appropriate amount of time. This approach helps learners validate theoretical content and enhances their intellectual abilities to solve problems by analyzing theoretical results. Thus, experiential learning involves experimentation to generate data for further study. This form of education is similar to "Learning by Doing," but it requires learners to record experimental results and analyze them.
The characteristics of experiential education include the followin:
The instructor reviews and summarizes the theory to be tested for the learners, demonstrates part of the experiment, and then lets the learners conduct the experiment, record the results, and analyze whether the results align with the theory.
Learners study the theory independently before the class, and then the teacher and learners discuss the related theoretical content. Following this discussion, learners conduct the experiment, record the results, and analyze them.
Learners study the theory, conduct experiments, gather data, analyze, and summarize all results independently in a self-learning format. This method is suitable for experiments requiring confirmation of quantitative results.
