Looking for a paid 2024 summer internship?

LaunchPad’s Summer Internship Program provides direct access to paid internships and professional development opportunities to help you thrive in your role. Apply for the chance to work in Blackstone LaunchPad’s curated roles with Blackstone, Blackstone portfolio companies, or exciting startups or nonprofits!

How it works:

• LaunchPad partners with employers to offer exclusive roles to LaunchPad students

• Qualifying students who engage in at least one of our career readiness opportunities will access our internship portal in February to apply for paid summer internships

Refer to the Career Readiness Opportunities page to prepare for internships! Students must participate in one workshop or our free coaching opportunity to be eligible to apply for our employer partners’ roles.

These roles:

• Pay at least $20/hour

• Full-time for 8-12 weeks in summer 2024

• Range from remote, to in-person, to hybrid (both remote and in-person elements) throughout the U.S.

• Range in business functions such as marketing/communications, data analysis, engineering, sales, finance, project management, research, and more

What is the LaunchPad Summer Internship Program? 

LaunchPad’s trusted network of employer partners are eager to hire interns like YOU, with strong innovation skills who can demonstrate their value-add in resumes, interviews, and personal branding.  

Students hired by LaunchPad’s employer partners will join a cohort with students across the U.S. to access LaunchPad’s professional development series, which includes speakers, skill-building workshops and networking opportunities over the course of the summer. 

Who are the employers? 

Blackstone, Blackstone portfolio companies, nonprofits, and startups. These employers are in industries such as fashion, technology, renewable energy, health sciences, real estate, finance, manufacturing and more. 

What are the steps I need to complete to secure an internship this summer?

Are there other eligibility requirements? 

Students who qualify to apply to this year’s internship program must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at a LaunchPad partner college. Students must also be available to participate in a full-time internship (in-person, remote or hybrid) for 8-12 weeks beginning at the end of May 2024. 

• Most roles are targeted to undergraduate students, but graduate students will find open roles as well. 

• If you are a CUNY graduating senior or recent graduate, we are partnering with CUNY’s I2E program to offer you NY-based internship opportunities that are intended to convert to full-time employment. Fill out the interest form and we’ll share the I2E application with you if you qualify.

How many internships are available? 

There will be about 250+ internships available. 

Is this a paid internship? 

Yes! Interns will be paid at least $20/hour. 

What are the specific types of internship roles that will be available?  

There will be a variety of internships available in different industries from marketing/communications, data analysis, engineering, sales, finance, project management, to research, and more. 

When will the internship portal open? 

The internship application portal will open the week of February 19, 2024. Only students who have completed the interest form will be notified of the open positions. We encourage you to apply for each employer’s position early – don’t take longer than a week or two. Employers will close positions on a rolling basis. 

What do I need to submit when I apply? 

Each employer’s internship application will require you to submit a resume; others may require cover letters and additional details. You will be able to filter and search roles and submit your applications directly on the StartupTree portal. In some cases, the application will take you to the company’s website to apply – make sure you select “Blackstone LaunchPad” where applicable so they know you came from our program. You can view and track your submitted applications via the StartupTree platform. 

When will I know if I have been accepted to an internship? 

You’ll be notified in April about your potential participation in the summer internship program. The internship will officially kick off in late May/early June, as individual start dates will be provided by employers.
