Krepel Studio respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how InLock: App Lock ("InLock", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") accesses, processes, stores, and shares information when you use the App.
InLock is designed for one primary purpose:
to allow users to protect selected applications on their Android device using biometric authentication or the device's system credential, such as a PIN, pattern, or password.
InLock is designed to perform its core App Lock functionality primarily on the user's device.
We do not operate user accounts and we do not operate a server that stores your list of locked applications, biometric information, passwords, screen content, or Accessibility Service data.
InLock needs access to information about applications installed on your device so that it can:
display installed applications in the App;
allow you to select which applications should be protected;
identify whether an application that becomes active is protected by InLock;
enable or disable protection for individual applications.
This information may include:
application package names;
application names;
application icons;
basic application metadata required to identify installed applications.
This information is processed for the core App Lock functionality.
InLock does not sell, upload, or share your installed application inventory with advertising providers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Installed application information obtained for App Lock functionality is not used for advertising personalization.
InLock may use the Android:
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
permission.
Android restricts visibility of installed applications. InLock requires broad application visibility because its core functionality allows the user to select and protect installed applications.
Without sufficient application visibility, InLock may be unable to display or protect all eligible applications installed on the device.
The permission is used only to:
identify installed applications;
display applications available for locking;
associate selected applications with their package names;
determine whether an application detected by the App Lock service is protected.
Information obtained through package visibility is not sold or shared for advertising or analytics purposes.
InLock uses an Android Accessibility Service to provide its core App Lock functionality.
The Accessibility Service is used to detect when an application becomes active so that InLock can determine whether that application has been selected for protection.
When a protected application becomes active, InLock can request authentication before allowing normal access to that application.
The Accessibility Service may process information such as:
the package name of the active application;
application/window transition events necessary to detect when a protected application is opened.
InLock does not use the Accessibility Service to:
read messages;
read passwords;
record keystrokes;
read text entered into other applications;
collect browsing content;
collect private conversations;
collect photos or files;
perform automated clicks;
interact with buttons on your behalf;
perform hidden automation;
collect information for advertising;
build advertising profiles;
sell Accessibility Service data.
Accessibility information required for App Lock functionality is processed locally on the device.
InLock does not transmit Accessibility Service data to Krepel Studio servers.
The Accessibility Service cannot be enabled silently.
Android requires the user to explicitly enable InLock's Accessibility Service through the device's system settings.
Before asking the user to enable this functionality, InLock provides an in-app disclosure explaining why Accessibility access is required.
Users may disable the Accessibility Service at any time through Android system settings.
Disabling the Accessibility Service may prevent InLock from detecting and protecting applications.
InLock uses Android's official system authentication mechanisms, including BiometricPrompt.
Depending on the capabilities and configuration of your device, authentication may be performed using:
fingerprint;
supported facial authentication;
other Android-supported biometric authentication;
device PIN;
device pattern;
device password.
InLock may use the Android:
USE_BIOMETRIC
permission to request biometric authentication.
Biometric authentication is performed by the Android operating system.
InLock does not receive, collect, store, or have access to:
fingerprint images;
facial biometric templates;
biometric templates;
your device PIN;
your device pattern;
your device password.
Android only informs InLock whether the authentication attempt succeeded, failed, or was cancelled.
Your actual biometric and device credential information remains under Android's system security mechanisms.
When you select applications to protect, InLock stores the information necessary to remember your choices.
This may include the package names of applications you have selected for protection.
This information is stored locally within the App's private storage on your device.
It is not uploaded to Krepel Studio servers.
You can modify this information at any time by enabling or disabling protection for individual applications.
Removing InLock or clearing its application data may remove locally stored App Lock settings.
Temporary authentication states used to prevent repeated authentication while you are actively using an already unlocked application are intended to remain temporary and are not used to create a behavioral profile.
InLock may display advertising provided by Google AdMob, a service operated by Google.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process information for advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud prevention purposes.
Depending on device settings, geographic region, consent status, SDK configuration, and applicable law, this information may include:
IP address;
approximate location inferred from the IP address;
advertising identifiers;
App Set ID or similar device/application identifiers;
information about interactions with advertisements and the App;
application launch and interaction information;
diagnostic information;
performance information;
device information.
Advertising data processed by Google is governed by Google's own privacy policies and advertising policies.
InLock does not provide Google AdMob with your list of locked applications or the installed application inventory obtained through QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES for advertising personalization or analytics monetization.
Accessibility Service data is also not provided to AdMob for advertising purposes.
Where required by applicable privacy laws or Google policies, InLock may use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present privacy and advertising consent options.
Depending on your region and choices, Google may serve:
personalized advertisements;
non-personalized advertisements;
limited advertisements;
advertisements using other legally permitted processing modes.
Users in applicable regions may be given options regarding advertising data processing and personalization.
Privacy options may also be made available within the App where required.
InLock may access the Internet for functionality provided by third-party Google services, including:
Google AdMob advertising;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Google Play Billing;
purchase verification and related Google Play services.
Network connectivity information may also be used to determine whether online services are available.
Core information about which applications you have personally selected for locking is not transmitted to Krepel Studio through these network connections.
InLock may offer an optional Pro / Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
Krepel Studio does not receive or store your:
payment card number;
banking information;
Google account password;
complete payment credentials.
Google Play may provide the App with information required to determine purchase status and whether Pro functionality should be enabled.
Payment processing is subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.
InLock may store application preferences locally on your device, including information such as:
selected locked applications;
theme preferences;
language preferences;
onboarding status;
application settings;
Pro entitlement state or information required to restore it.
This information is used only to operate and remember the configuration of the App.
InLock does not require creation of a Krepel Studio account to use its core functionality.
InLock does not intentionally collect or store on Krepel Studio servers:
passwords;
device PINs;
device patterns;
biometric templates;
fingerprints;
facial biometric data;
text displayed inside other applications;
messages or conversations;
contacts;
photos;
videos;
audio recordings;
documents;
precise GPS location;
call history;
SMS messages;
keystrokes;
browsing history;
Accessibility Service content.
InLock does not sell personal information.
Krepel Studio does not sell your App Lock data.
Information processed locally for the core App Lock feature, including your selected protected applications and Accessibility-based application detection, is not shared with third parties for advertising or analytics monetization.
Third-party services integrated into the App, such as Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing, may independently process information necessary to provide their services according to their own privacy policies.
Information used to configure InLock is generally stored locally for as long as the App remains installed or until you change, reset, or delete the relevant information.
You may remove locally stored App data by:
changing settings within InLock where available;
clearing InLock's application data through Android settings;
uninstalling InLock.
Information independently collected by Google services is retained according to Google's applicable policies and retention practices.
We design InLock to minimize access to sensitive information and to keep core App Lock information on the user's device whenever possible.
InLock relies on Android system security mechanisms for biometric and device credential authentication.
Locally stored application information is protected by Android's application sandbox and platform security mechanisms.
Data transmitted by integrated Google services may be protected using encryption in transit and other security mechanisms provided by those services.
However, no software or electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
You remain in control of the sensitive capabilities used by InLock.
You may:
enable or disable protection for individual applications;
enable or disable InLock's Accessibility Service through Android settings;
manage biometric and device credentials through Android settings;
manage advertising privacy choices where available;
clear InLock's application data;
uninstall InLock at any time.
Some functionality may stop working if permissions or system capabilities required for App Lock are disabled.
InLock may use services provided by Google, including:
Google AdMob;
Google Mobile Ads SDK;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Google Play Billing;
Google Play services where required by the Android platform or integrated Google functionality.
These services may process information according to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Users are encouraged to review Google's Privacy Policy and applicable service terms for further information about Google's data practices.
InLock is a general-purpose utility application and is not specifically designed as a service directed toward children.
We do not intentionally use InLock's core App Lock functionality to collect personal information from children.
Advertising and privacy configuration will follow applicable Google Play, Google AdMob, and legal requirements for the audiences to which the App is distributed.
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
functionality changes;
permissions change;
third-party services change;
legal requirements change;
Google Play or Android requirements change.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the Last updated date at the top of this document will be revised.
