Story:  Paul and Joanne were young when they found out Joanne was pregnant. Young and not ready for a child, a child neither of them wanted. But still they went through with it, decided to keep it. And so Lucas was brought into the world. The Turner’s had gotten married soon after they found out they would have a child. Most of the money they had was given to them by their parents so they would be able to care for their baby. But the money was rarely actually spent on Lucas. Both Paul and Joanne blamed the boy for stealing their youth from them. How they never had the chance to be young, wild and crazy and instead spent the money on themselves.

That life was all the boy had ever known. Not quite enough food to ever make him feel full and little to no toys to play with. Instead he would usually sit by the window and watch the world go by, and the birds fly above. At the age of five, Joanne began being physically abusive toward Lucas. He spoke to loudly. He didn't clean up properly, really any excuse was enough for her to take it out on their son. Paul did never hurt the boy, but he never stopped his wife. Never helped the child either. After Joanne started doing this, Lucas often watched the birds dreaming of one day being able to fly away with them.

Around a year later when he started school his mother kept making sure that he had no visible, unexplainable bruises. But a teacher noticed how malnourished the boy was and after that noticed the bruises. At first she didn't do anything. Scared to break up a family. But when she noticed new bruises over and over she could not ignore it anymore and reported it, getting Lucas away from his parents and into the system. He stayed at a foster home for about a year before he was adopted by Joseph and Todd.

Moving in with his new adopted family was hard at first. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to act. Spending the first part of his life at home with his abusive parents and then a year in foster care where he never really felt like part of the family. He did not know how a "real" family was supposed to be and how he was supposed to act. How his adoptive parents would treat him. But he soon realized living there would be nothing like living with Paul and Joanne. The cared for him like no one had ever cared for him before and Lucas felt himself start to feel safe. Happy.

Then something happened. One of his dad's packed up all his things and left. And at first Lucas thought he would obviously come back, like he always did, but his parents explained that they would be living in different homes. Todd was moving out. Lucas couldn't help but think it was his fault, he moves in and a few months later his dad left. And a fear settled in him that he would have to leave, go back to foster care. This fear was quickly disproven and they made sure he knew he would always be their son. In the end they decided that Lucas would permanently stay with Joseph since he had both a bigger place to live, and a better schedule for work. However Lucas still spend some weekends with Todd and share holidays.

Lucas is 16 years old in all threads unless specified or plotted. He can be played between the ages of 7-21.
