Story:  Joseph Matthews, or Joe, is no one special. at least that's what he thinks. He's just your average twenty four year old man. He didn't have a bad childhood, he doesn't come from a rich family but they always got by with what they had. He had a lot of friends in school, wasn't a trouble-maker, he actually liked school a lot. He was just a normal guy.

As a teen, Joseph lost his father Eric in a car accident. The loss hit him hard but he tried to make his dad proud by taking care of his family as best he could. When he was twenty years old Joseph realized he was asexual, scared to tell his then boyfriend Todd about it. His sister supported him and with her push eventually told Todd. He seemed fine with the news and Joe was happy the information was out there.

But their relationship changed then. No drastic change, very subtle but a change nonetheless. Todd started to be more physical. Wanting to often hold Joe, touch him and kiss him despite some comments from Joe. He however claimed he deserved this since Joe couldn’t give him anything else and Joe believed him. Years went by, the two moved to LA early in their relationship and were now talking about adopting. After a long wait they were called about a boy who needed a new home and they did not hesitate to let him in.

A year or so later Joseph and Todd split up. Todd said they were no good match since they wanted, needed, different thing. Still sharing custody of Lucas who spends some weekends over at Todd’s place.

Jospeh is 36 years old in main verse when he's got Lucas. (Obviously depending on how old you want Lucas to be but main is 36) and if you want to do it in verse where he doesn't have Lucas, he's around 28.
