• INFURTURE H1's biggest strength: hybrid active noise cancellation plus a huge battery rating — 90 hours with ANC off and 50 hours with it on, per the spec sheet.
• INFURTURE H1's biggest trade-off: it's an adult-sized over-ear design in plastic and protein leather, so it's not built around kid-specific features like volume limits or a "hear your surroundings" mode.
• JLab's biggest strength: it's designed from the ground up for kids — on-ear fit, three noise-control modes including a Be Aware setting, and music sharing with a friend.
• JLab's biggest trade-off: on-ear cushions and an 85 dB sensitivity rating point to a smaller, lighter listening experience rather than a big immersive soundstage.
• Pick INFURTURE H1 if you're an adult or teen who wants ANC for commutes, flights and office work, and hates charging.
• Pick JLab if you're buying for a child and want a 2-in-1 wireless/wired pair with a two-year warranty and kid-focused noise modes.
The H1 Plus is a hybrid active noise cancelling over-ear headphone, and the spec sheet tells you exactly where its priorities sit. The two headline numbers are the battery figures: up to 90 hours with ANC off, and still around 50 hours with ANC running. That's the kind of gap that changes how you actually live with a pair of headphones — you stop thinking about the charger, you stop packing the cable "just in case," and a week-long trip stops being a battery logistics problem.
The noise cancelling itself is the hybrid type, which means it's aimed at the low-to-mid rumble you meet in real life: bus engines, plane cabin drone, train noise, the general hum of a city. That's the use case this headphone is clearly built around. Combine it with Bluetooth 5.3 and a 10-meter wireless range, and you've got a pair that's happy moving between your desk, the kitchen and the sofa without dropping out.
Comfort is where the details get interesting. The ear cups use protein leather over memory foam, the headband is adjustable, and the cups rotate 90 degrees so you can find an angle that actually sits flat on your head. At 0.34 kg it's a genuinely light over-ear for the size class. The drivers are a hybrid setup covering 20Hz to 20,000Hz at 32 ohm impedance — a standard, easy-to-drive range that any phone or laptop will handle without a headphone amp.
Two things to know before you buy. First, controls are push-button rather than touch, which I actually prefer for gloved winter hands but some people find clunky. Second, and this is the important one: when you plug in the 3.5mm cable, the headphone powers down. ANC and volume control stop working in wired mode. So the cable is a fallback for a dead battery, not a way to get wired ANC. Buy it for the wireless experience.
Who should skip it? Anyone shopping for a young child. There's nothing here about volume limiting or ambient awareness, and the pink plastic-and-protein-leather build is aimed at adults, teens and older kids who can be trusted to manage their own volume. If that's your situation, look at the JLab instead.
The JLab JBuddies ANC is a different animal entirely, and I mean that as a compliment. This is a kids' headphone, and every design decision follows from that. It's an on-ear model with circular ear cups in purple and pink, weighing 0.25 kg — noticeably lighter than the INFURTURE, which matters when a smaller head is carrying it for a two-hour car ride.
The noise control is the standout feature. JLab gives you three modes: ANC On, ANC Off, and Be Aware. That third mode is the one parents actually care about. Noise cancelling that blocks everything is a liability for a child crossing a parking lot or walking to a school bus; Be Aware is the opposite — it lets surrounding sound back in so they can hear traffic, a teacher, or you calling their name. Being able to switch between blocking out a noisy airplane cabin and staying alert on the sidewalk is a genuinely thoughtful piece of design.
Battery is rated at 50+ hours of wireless playtime, which is the same ballpark as the INFURTURE's ANC-on figure and more than enough for a school week plus a road trip. It's also a 2-in-1: wireless over Bluetooth 5.3, or wired via the 3.5mm jack when the battery is flat or when the device they're using doesn't do Bluetooth. JLab also mentions music sharing so two kids can listen together — a small feature that prevents a lot of arguments in the back seat.
Audio-wise, the frequency range is the standard 20Hz–20,000Hz, and the sensitivity is listed at 85 dB. Between the on-ear fit and that figure, this is tuned for safe, moderate listening rather than chest-thumping bass. That's the point. The ear cushions are plush and the enclosure mixes faux leather with plastic, which is the right call for something that will get dropped in a backpack.
Who should skip it? Adults who want serious noise isolation for a long-haul flight, or anyone who prefers the wrap-around feel of a full over-ear cup. The JBuddies is a kid-first product, and an adult buying it for themselves is shopping in the wrong department. The two-year JLab warranty is a nice buffer against the reality of children and electronics.
• Best for battery life → INFURTURE H1. Up to 90 hours with ANC off versus 50+ hours for the JLab.
• Best for noise cancelling in loud environments → INFURTURE H1. Hybrid ANC on a full over-ear cup is built for planes, trains and traffic rumble.
• Best for kids → JLab. Kid-focused design, on-ear fit, 0.25 kg, and a two-year warranty.
• Best for safety and awareness → JLab. The Be Aware mode is something the INFURTURE simply doesn't offer.
• Best for long listening sessions at a desk → INFURTURE H1. Memory foam over-ear cushions and a 90° rotating cup design beat on-ear pressure over a full workday.
• Best for sharing with a sibling or friend → JLab. Music sharing is a kid-specific feature the H1 doesn't have.
• Best for travel with a child → JLab. Lighter, kid-sized, and the wired 2-in-1 option means no "my headphones died" meltdowns.
• Best for a mixed household → INFURTURE H1 for the adults, JLab for the kids. They're not really competitors so much as different jobs.
If I were buying for myself, I'd take the INFURTURE H1. The 90-hour ANC-off battery rating and 50-hour ANC-on rating mean I'd charge it roughly once a week, the hybrid noise cancelling targets exactly the noise I hate on commutes, and the over-ear memory foam build is the fit I want for long sessions. If I were buying for a child, I'd take the JLab without hesitation — the Be Aware mode, the lighter 0.25 kg frame and the two-year warranty are the features that matter when the user is eight years old. Two different buyers, two different answers.
For blocking out engine drone, traffic and cabin noise, yes — in my opinion the H1's hybrid ANC on a full over-ear cup is the stronger tool for that job. JLab's advantage is choice: its three modes, including Be Aware, let a child switch between blocking sound and hearing their surroundings.
Yes. It's a 2-in-1 design, so you can plug in the 3.5mm cable and keep listening wired. Note that the INFURTURE H1 also has a 3.5mm jack, but it powers down in wired mode, so ANC and volume controls won't work that way.
JLab is explicitly a kids' headphone — kid age range, lighter build, kid-focused noise modes. The INFURTURE H1 is listed for adults, teens and kids, but its design and features are aimed at adult listening, not child safety. For a young child, I'd pick JLab.
