TYPE BY Fresco Informal is the more playful part of the Fresco family. The Informal fonts can be mixed with the Fresco text fonts, as you like. The design proportions such as x-height and the capital height are the same. Fresco Informal is available in five weights: light, normal, semibold, bold and black. All fonts have matching italics, as well as lining and non-lining figures.

Fresco Informal, contrary to its name, is suitable for composing texts the fonts behave very well in small sizes. However, their character is less suitable for texts of a very formal nature. On the other hand, Informal is handsome and pleasant in larger sizes and very suitable for any daily and contemporary work which has to reach a big audience.

An informal brief differs from a formal brief in that it does not need a table of contents, table of authorities, corporate disclosure statement, summary of argument, or addendum, or need to comply with the standard rules regarding margins, font, and the certificate of compliance. An informal brief does, however, still need to comply with the rules about impounded and confidential information.

Format and Pagination. All paper briefs must be securely bound on the left hand side. The pages of the brief should be consecutively numbered, with page numbers appearing in the margins, starting with the cover as page 1. Mass. R. App. P. 20(a)(4). The brief must be typed and printed in black ink, double spaced, on 8 1/2" by 11" inch white paper. Footnotes must be typed using the same font and point size but they may be single spaced.

Proportional Font and Word Count Alternative to the Page Limit. Alternatively, you may produce your brief using a proportionally spaced font and a word limit. If you choose to do so, you must select a proportionally spaced font (e.g., Times New Roman), the font must be 14 point size or larger, all margins must be 1" or larger, and the applicable word limit specified in Mass. R. App. P. 20(a) must be used. If produced in a proportionally spaced font, the certificate of compliance that is required for all briefs (see below) must indicate the font you selected, number of non-excluded words, and method of computation.

Length Limits. In a non-cross appeal, the length limits are as follows: appellant/appellee brief = 50 pages in monospaced font or 11,000 words in proportional font; reply brief = 20 pages in monospaced font or 4,500 words in proportional font. Mass. R. App. P. 20(a)(2). The cover, table of contents, table of authorities, signature block, addendum, and certificates of compliance and service do not count against the length limits. Mass. R. App. P. 20(a)(3)(F). For the length limits in cross appeals, see Mass. R. App. P. 20(a)(3)(A)-(D).

APA recommends using the same font throughout your paper. IRSC Librarians recommend using 12-point Times New Roman font. If not using Times New Roman, then another serif or sans serif typeface should be used for its readability. Only use different typeface in figure descriptions, in that case, use a font between 8 and 14 points.

In 1919 Oswald Cooper designed his eponymoustypeface for BB&S: an informal roman with soft serifs. I noted the availability of Tinos Serif in another comment; it is virtually identical to Liberation Serif except Liberation Serif has about 672 glyphs, and Tinos has 2,583. Both of these fonts, as noted, are metrically compatible replacements for Times New Roman.

There are also fonts which evoke the feeling of Cambria, although they are not metrically compatible. Droid Serif, with 896 glyphs, is nearly identical to Noto Serif which has 2,414 glyphs.

I tied that now with the font i downloaded times new roman and it is same size thanks,i tried to type just times new roman or word fontes, something like that so in one program eula i think asked me to save that and now when i go to libre office i have that font, but i wantedto ask would i see it on office when my proff.in collage open it?Thanks a lot,i appriciate help

Just in case this might be of interest to others checking this thread, Tinos, from Ascender Corp, is also a free, open source font, metrically compatible with Times New Roman, and has a huge range of glyphs. Also an excellent replacment font, should such be needed.

One additional info. In Ubuntu there should already be Liberation fonts. There are very very similar to Microsoft fonts and this Liberation fonts are free of use (no restriction). Check them out, I think professor will most probably not notice the difference: Liberation fonts - Wikipedia

Typography is an essential aspect of visual communication, influencing the way we perceive and interpret information. Font psychology, a sub-discipline of typography, is the study of how different typefaces impact human emotions and perception. This field of research aims to understand the psychological effects of various fonts to improve the efficacy of design and communication. By examining the subtle cues and connotations associated with different typefaces, designers and communicators can make more informed decisions to evoke specific emotions or reactions from their target audience.

Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. One part of typography includes typefaces which are a collection of letters. Each typeface includes a number of fonts that follow the set of rules that make them a part of a particular typeface category.

Fonts are visual elements used to pass information or display a message to the reader. Like with every visual input, fonts also carry a hidden message that changes how the reader perceives the text regardless of the content itself.

Research in The British Psychological Society back in 1989 found a correlation between adjectives and various fonts perceived by the study subjects. The subjects were shown multiple typefaces and were asked to rate the perceptual qualities they may possess, such as heavy, light, fast, and slow. 006ab0faaa
