81st Anniversary of Araw ng Kagitingan

FSEO Pampanga and Bataan Service Extension Office attended three (3) commemorations in observance of 81st Araw ng Kagitingan 2023 last April 11, 2023, the events are the following:

Our office represented by Ms. Joanna Mariz Manlapaz, attended the 81st Anniversary of Death March at San Fernando Train Station, Brgy. Sto Nino, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The program includes a wreath-laying ceremony and awarding of tokens of appreciation to 20 veterans in Pampanga.

Present also at the event are Vice Mayor of the City of San Fernando, Hon. Benedict Jasper Lagman, City Tourism headed by Ms. Ching Pangilinan, VFP Pampanga 3rd District, and Philippine Veterans Bank Clark Branch headed by Ms. Joy Lastimosa.

Additionally, on the other hand, Mr. John Puno attended the Joint Tribute to all Filipino Heroes and Paggunita sa Capas at Capas National Shrine, Capas, Tarlac. The program involves a wreath-laying ceremony and the distribution of ambulatory devices to veterans in need.

Lastly, Ms. Angela Dologmandin attended the Parangal sa mga Beterano in observance of the 81st Araw ng Kagitingan at Capitol Grounds, Balanga, Bataan.

Our office witnessed the Parade of Heroism and Courage which aims to revisit our history to raise the awareness and appreciation of our countrymen for the greatness of our ancestors who fought for our freedom during the Second World War. Financial assistance were also distributed from the Provincial Government of Bataan to living veterans.
