• Using generative design, redesign an existing product to be manufactured using a miscellaneous manufacturing process

  • Examples of miscellaneous applications/processes include:

    • Casting

    • Injection Molding

    • Composite Manufacturing

    • Electronics

    • Other ideas/applications you might think!

  • Think simple designs - made of single-components - not assemblies!

  • Once your new design is generated and finalized, manufacture your product

  • Test & analyze the characteristics & performance of your generatively-designed product, compared to that of the original, traditionally-manufactured product

  • Summarize and present your findings, lessons learned, etc.
