For a 5-Axis Product of your choosing...
Using CAD software (ex: Fusion 360), create a Parametric 3D model of a product with features to be manufactured using a 5-Axis Machining Center, based on your ideas
The product should be made from readily available material(s) in the shop, or materials sourced within a reasonable timeframe (instructor approval/assistance needed if using/acquiring shop materials)
When determining and designing your product, ensure you are appropriately considering design for manufacturing principles related to 5-Axis machining (ex: tool access, clearances, simultaneous vs. positional toolpaths, etc.)
Once your parametric CAD model is complete, create technical drawing(s) for your product
Your options for machines are as follows:
Mazak C-600 Variaxis (recommended)
PocketNC V2-10 (stock size ≤1.125" Round bar, non-metals)
