• The objective of this Challenge is for you to think about and determine how you might automate the various aspects of manufacturing the spinning top at large quantities, using the same machine you are familiar with as a basis (ex: Haas ST-10Y), including:

  • Automation of material in-feed/out-feed to/from the lathe

  • In-process automation

  • Advanced coding/macro functions

  • Advanced (flexible/robotic) automation solutions

• For whichever solution(s) you think of, determine the initial upfront investment (time, money, etc.) as well as the Return On Investment (ROI) for the solution(s)
