(Continuation/extension of the past few Challenges) By now you've designed palletized fixturing to achieve single-piece flow for subtractive manufacturing. You've also figured out how to have a robot load and unload pallets from a CNC machine. And most recently, you came up with a way to automate the reorienting & refixturing of the Dice to and from different operations on the pallet, utilizing programmable fixturing.
For this challenge, you are tasked with incorporating fixturing functionality for one or more of the additional pre- and post-processing operations related to the production of these dice, including:
(Pre-Machining) Cutting raw material to length
(Mid-Machining) Aluminum Anodizing, after the raw material
(Post-Machining) Product cleaning/packaging/etc.
Develop/consider/analyze:
What additional/existing fixturing additions/modifications would be needed to accommodate the constraints & considerations of these pre/post-processing operations?
What are the 8-step cycle(s) of fixturing with your new process(es)?
