3D-Print several 2" cubes to perform axial compression testing on various infill patterns
Each cube should be exactly the same size and shape, and have 2 opposing faces removed (similar to video shown at right), with differences only in the types of infill patterns they use, for a total of at least 4 different cubes:
10% infill
33% infill
66% infill
100% infill
Compression test each cube to failure in the lab and record, measure, and calculate the following results for each cube:
Stress-strain curve (force vs. deformation)
Compressive Strength
Strength-Weight Ratio
Once done, publish documentation to a newly-created "Material Testing" Project page on your portfolio website, showing/describing (via: text, pictures, gifs, videos, etc.):
Visuals & descriptions of each broken cube
Organized & visualized test results of each cube (tables, graphs, etc.)
