I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia, working with Dr. Laura Barnes and collaborating with the Link Lab, Mobile, AI, and People (MAP) Lab (formerly the Digital Technology Core), and Sensing Systems for Health Lab on projects supported by the NIH.
I received my Ph.D. and M.S. in Information Systems from UMBC, where I worked with Dr. Nirmalya Roy in the MPSC Lab and CYPRESS on projects supported by the NSF, ONR, Alzheimer’s Association, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
My research focuses on use-inspired human-centric cyber-physical systems, wearable and ubiquitous computing, and personalized health intelligence. I develop adaptive multimodal sensing and machine-learning methods for robust assessment, personalized decision support, and just-in-time interventions. My broader goal is to advance trustworthy, context-aware, and human-in-the-loop AI for smart health and broader human-centric and safety-critical applications.
