I am a 5th year PhD candidate at the Department of Information Systems at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, working with Dr Nirmalya Roy in the Mobile Pervasive Sensor Computing Lab. I received my Master’s in Information Systems from UMBC. Before joining UMBC, I received my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. My research interest lies in wearable computing, brain computer interfaces and human activity recognition in smart connected environments. Currently, I am working on understanding the working/episodic memory under stress environment and examining the relationships between behaviors, cognitive functions and associated actions throughout the lifespan of individuals. My motivation is to create interdisciplinary research with the intention of improving quality of life by employing wearable and ubiquitous sensing technologies. I also have interests in multi-habitant activity recognition and cyber-physical systems in urban and smart environments.
