Education can be viewed as a continuous cycle of analyzing data. Data is only valuable if an educator uses the data to inform their instruction for the whole class, small groups, or individual.

This is a great book to analyze student reading responses. It is organized by skill, and each section starts out at a lower level and then moves up for more difficulty. I listen to student responses and decide if they need a strategy to fill in a gap or to to extend their thinking.
This a great resource to analyze student's writing. It is also organized by skill and leveled. So if you start at the beginning of a skill section it has strategies for lower levels and then moves up through the section.
This series has instruction, but also has 2 components that will help analyze data. The If, Then Curriculum book has If a student does _________________, Then the teacher does _____________________________. It is a great tool to fill in specific needs. There is also a Learning Progression book that shows grade levels of a skill, so a teacher can see grade levels below and above. This will help fill needs and extend learning based on where the student is currently.
