PRIVACY POLICY — InBICX: Bulk Image Compressor
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how InBICX: Bulk Image Compressor (“InBICX”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App. InBICX is designed to compress images locally on your Android device while minimizing unnecessary access to personal data.
1. Local Image Processing
InBICX allows you to select and compress supported image files, including JPG, JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, HEIF, and AVIF. Image analysis and compression are performed locally on your device. InBICX does not upload your selected images or compressed images to developer-operated servers for processing, storage, profiling, or advertising purposes.
2. File and Folder Access
InBICX uses Android system file and folder selection mechanisms. The App can access only files and folders that you explicitly select or authorize. Depending on the feature you use, InBICX may read selected images, process supported images from a selected folder, create compressed files in a destination folder, or replace original files when you explicitly choose “Replace originals” and Android provides appropriate write access. InBICX does not require unrestricted access to all files on your device and does not use MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE for its image-compression functionality.
3. Safe Replacement and Temporary Files
When “Replace originals” is used, InBICX is designed to create and validate the compressed result before replacing the original file where the storage provider allows this. A larger, invalid, incomplete, or failed result should not replace the original. Temporary files may be created during analysis, compression, validation, or safe replacement and are removed when they are no longer required where technically possible.
4. Background Processing
InBICX can continue an active compression operation after you minimize the App, switch to another application, or turn off the screen. For this purpose, the App may use an Android Foreground Service with the mediaProcessing service type. Background compression begins only after you explicitly start a compression operation. InBICX does not automatically start compression after device reboot or without a user action. The compression process remains local to your device and does not require cloud processing.
5. Notifications
InBICX may display system notifications while compression is running. These notifications may show progress, percentage completed, the number of processed files, total files, the current filename, a Cancel action, and completion status. On Android 13 and later, the App may request POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission. Granting this permission is optional. If notification permission is denied, compression can still continue and progress remains available inside the App. Notification information is displayed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.
6. Internet Access
The image-compression engine itself is designed to work offline. InBICX does not upload images for compression and does not perform cloud-based image processing. Internet access may still be used by separate services integrated into the App, including Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing.
7. Advertising and Consent
The Free version of InBICX uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google configuration, Google may process information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, advertising interactions, diagnostic information, and performance information. Google may use this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.
InBICX also uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required to manage advertising and privacy consent. Depending on your country or region, you may be shown a consent or privacy options form. InBICX does not sell your selected images or image contents to advertisers.
8. In-App Purchases
InBICX offers an optional one-time InBICX Pro purchase through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full credit card number, bank account information, or complete payment credentials. The App may receive purchase-related information required to activate or restore Pro access, such as product identifier, purchase state, purchase token, and entitlement information.
InBICX Pro may provide unlimited batch compression, folder selection, removal of advertising, and lifetime access through a one-time purchase.
9. Information Stored on Your Device
InBICX may store limited application information locally, including selected language, selected theme, onboarding completion status, App preferences, Free/Pro entitlement state, whether the first unlimited Free batch has been used, selected compression settings, permitted folder access, and lightweight information required to manage an active or completed compression session. InBICX does not persistently store decoded image Bitmaps as user data.
10. Third-Party Services
InBICX uses third-party services provided by Google, including Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, and Google Play services where applicable. These services may independently collect and process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. Their data processing, retention, and security practices are controlled by the relevant third-party provider.
11. Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell your images, operate a cloud image-storage service for InBICX, or upload your images to our servers for compression. Technical, advertising, diagnostic, consent, device, or purchase-related information may be processed by Google services where required to provide advertising, consent management, security, fraud prevention, billing, and purchase restoration.
Original and compressed images remain in storage locations selected or controlled by you. Application preferences may remain on your device until you clear App data, Android removes them, or you uninstall InBICX. Information processed by Google services is retained according to Google’s own policies.
12. Security
InBICX is designed to minimize unnecessary access to user information. The App uses Android system mechanisms for file access, processes images locally, avoids unnecessary broad storage permissions, validates compressed files before safe replacement where supported, and removes temporary processing files when they are no longer needed. However, no software system or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.
13. Children’s Privacy
InBICX is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly request children to provide personal information directly to us. Third-party Google services used by the App operate according to their own policies and applicable legal requirements.
14. Your Privacy Choices
You can control many aspects of InBICX through Android settings. You may revoke file or folder access, disable notifications, change advertising consent choices where available, delete generated files, clear App data, or uninstall the App. Additional advertising privacy controls may be available through Google UMP, Android settings, or your Google account settings.
15. No User Account Required
InBICX does not require you to create an InBICX account or sign in to a developer-operated service to use the core image-compression functionality.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when App functionality, Android or Google Play requirements, third-party services, legal requirements, or our privacy practices change. When the Policy is updated, the Effective Date at the top of this page will also be updated.
