The World's Greatest Lover (1977)
This goofy comedy starring Gene Wilder is set in early 1920s Hollywood as he seeks to become the next big leading man.
As soon as he gets off the train in Los Angeles, Rudy (Wilder) is surrounded by other Valentino wannabes. This fake platform was constructed in front of the Jamestown depot at what is today Railtown 1897 State Park. Today, one of their storage sheds houses a movie exhibit which contains the fake signposts created for this film. Sierra RR Coaches #11 & 14 can also be identified in this sequence.
Sierra RR's #28 can be seen pulling a passenger train late in the film. This 100+ year old engine is still in use today at Railtown 1897.
