The Texas Rangers (1936)
The Texas Rangers (1936)
The story of 2 former outlaws who become Texas Rangers and must bring down an old friend.
In a classic western robbery move, a herd of horses is led onto the tracks to stop a passing train. The engine used here is D&RGW's #168 - wbuilt in 1883 she is the oldest Colorado "movie engine" still working today. Today she is owned by the city of Colorado Springs and occasionally operates for special events in the state.
This may have been D&RGW RPO #61 that was robbed in the scene.
During the excitement, Coach #311 can be seen. This is still in use on the Cumbres & Toltec RR.
