Stay Tuned (1992)
This movie follows plumbing salesman Roy Knable (John Ritter), whose TV obsession is causing a rift with his wife Helen (Pam Dawber) and kids. Thanks to a visit from a mysterious character (Jeffrey Jones) he and Helen get sucked into a Hellish TV world and must work together to survive.
Late in the film, Helen finds herself strapped to a cart of dynamite on railroad tracks, with a steam engine fast approaching. I'm not sure where this scene was shot, but Old Tucson in Arizona was also seen in the duel between Roy and Spike (Jones). Great Western Railway's #51 was engine "#666," since Old Tucson's V&T Reno had been converted to run on compressed air and certainly wouldn't be able to achieve this effect.
After this film's release, GW #51 would move to California to operate at the Fillmore & Western Railway for a decade. Now it is in private ownership at the Hudson Terminal Railway in Colorado, where apparently it still operates.
