Shoot Out (1971)
A former bank robber (Gregory Peck) is on a revenge mission when he unexpectedly finds himself the caretaker of a young girl.
Clay arrives at the "Weed City" depot onboard a train led by Cumbres & Toltec's #483. The depot and water tower in the distance were built for the film at Lobato Siding but built to last and remained for years (appearing in several more films). In fact, the depot can briefly be glimpsed in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. Today all that remains is the replacement water tower prop built for Last Crusade.
Later, Clay returns to the depot. He soon finds himself coming to the aid of a young girl in the caboose. Caboose #0503 is still in use by Cumbres & Toltec today. Sadly, Engine #483 has been retired but is undergoing a cosmetic restoration.
