This forgettable 70s western stars George Peppard as a train robber seeking revenge on his former partners.
Much of the film was shot right on the Universal Studios lot in Los Angeles, and put to use the studio's own steam engine: Nevada County Narrow Gauge RR #5 "Tahoe." At the time, the backlot western town had a train depot set and a narrow gauge line through woods that could be shot from several angles to appear longer than it was. This is all gone now but the steam engine remains in use at Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum in Nevada City, CA.
The "Heaven and Earth" mining town was built around "Falls Lake" on the backlot at Universal, which has since been removed and replaced with soundstages.
Later in the film the teeny little Tahoe appears again, painted all black and renumbered. To to the right is a shot I took of it in 2022.
