Old Gringo (1989)
Jane Fonda stars as a school teacher caught up in the Mexican Revolution with Gen. Arroyo (Jimmy Smits). The movie was filmed entirely in Mexico.
The big action setpiece of the film occurs when the revolutionaries take a fully-loaded steam train of troops and crash it directly through a fortress held by Mexican soldiers. This was filmed using N de M #1150, which today is on display at the National Museum of Mexican Railways in Puebla. Much of this sequence was re-used for an episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.Â
