The Magnificent Seven (1960)
The Magnificent Seven (1960)
This western classic is a remake of Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai," and follows a group of seven gunfighters assembled to save a small Mexican village from bandit attacks. The film was shot in Mexico.
The only train action we get in this one is FCI #67, a 2-8-0 Alco built in 1899. It basically serves as set dressing for the knife vs. gun duel with Britt (James Coburn). Today it is on display outside the train museum at the La Villa depot in Mexico City.Â
