Cahill U.S. Marshal (1973)
This later John Wayne western stars The Duke as lawman J.D. Cahill who must intervene when his two sons are caught up with a bank robbing gang.
Early in the film, we see Cahill transporting prisoners in a boxcar of a train. This was filmed on Wayne's personal train, led by N de M #650, on his ranch outside Durango, Mexico. Today, this steam engine is on display at the National Museum of Mexican Railroads in Puebla, Mexico.
The train arrives at the "Valentine" depot. This was the film set on Wayne's ranch, which is still standing today. Rancho La Joya de John Wayne can be visited by the public and even offers camping.
