What is Green Steps?

Green Steps schools are committed to establishing and maintaining projects that teach students about conservation efforts through hands on service learning programs. While Irmo Middle School has long been practicing these core values, this year we have partnered with many other schools across the state to become Green Steps certified. Our Projects
Currently Irmo Middle School has 9 projects underway for the 2017-18 school year. These include protecting water and air, restoring natural habitats and soil, and conserving resources through recycling and re-purposing projects. We are extremely proud of the investment our students have made in the environment and in our shared natural resources.
