Electroacustic Experimental Music
IMPROVINCIA is an experimental electroacoustic ensemble devoted to improvisation as a living, critical, and expansive practice.
Based outside traditional cultural centers, the ensemble redefines what it means to create at a high artistic level from the so-called “periphery,” transforming geographic distance into a space for innovation.
Through modular formations and interdisciplinary collaboration, IMPROVINCIA develops performances that move between sound, technology, and embodied presence — shaping immersive experiences that challenge how we listen, perceive, and relate.
MUSAG: Integrated Informal Arts (world premiere, 2026) is an electroacoustic duo work based on the sonic translation of visual scores derived from graffiti tags created by university students.
Through guided improvisation, the performers transform graphic gestures into sound, establishing a dynamic dialogue between image and music.
The staging is minimal and ritualized, with projected visuals interacting in real time with the performers’ actions.
The work explores the intersection of informal urban expression and structured artistic practice.
IMPROVINCIA is available for concerts, festivals, residencies, site-specific performances, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
We actively seek opportunities to connect with presenters, institutions, and artists interested in experimental practices, improvisation, and cross-disciplinary work. Each project can be adapted to different contexts, spaces, and curatorial frameworks.
The ensemble also welcomes partnerships and financial support from organizations and individuals who wish to contribute to the development of new artistic work, research, and international circulation.
