Privacy Policy — Imposter Malayalam

This Privacy Policy explains how Imposter Malayalam ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. Imposter Malayalam is a party/social game app. It works fully offline for gameplay, and does not require you to create an account or sign in.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We do not require account creation, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you. The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics — collects app usage events (screens viewed, features used, session length), general device information (device model, OS version, language, approximate region), and an anonymous app/device identifier. Used to understand how the App is used and to improve features.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash logs, stack traces, device model, OS version, and app state at the time of a crash. Used to detect, diagnose, and fix bugs.
- Google AdMob — displays ads within the App. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier (Advertising ID) and general device information to show ads, measure ad performance, and limit how often the same ad is shown to you. See Section 5 for more detail.
- Meta Audience Network — receives ad requests through Google AdMob's mediation platform. Meta may collect an advertising identifier and device information to serve and measure ads on our behalf. See Meta's Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policies_center/privacy
This data is collected automatically and anonymously — it is not linked to your name or identity, since the App has no sign-in or account system.
2. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
- No account or profile information
- No contacts, precise location, camera, or microphone access
- No payment or financial information
- No user-generated content is uploaded to our servers
3. INTERNET PERMISSION
Imposter Malayalam is designed to be played offline. The App requests internet access so that Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and advertising data can be sent to Google's and its ad partners' servers when a connection is available. Core gameplay does not require an internet connection.
4. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED
- To understand which features are used and how often, so we can improve the App
- To identify and fix crashes and bugs
- To display ads within the App and measure how those ads perform
- We do not sell your data to third parties
5. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB AND MEDIATION PARTNERS)
The App displays ads served through Google AdMob to support free access to the App. AdMob uses a mediation platform, which may route ad requests to third-party ad networks — currently Meta Audience Network — to maximize ad fill and improve the ads shown to you. Each mediated network may independently collect device information and advertising identifiers as described in their own privacy policies.
AdMob and its mediation partners may use your device's Advertising ID and other device information to:
- Show ads within the App
- Measure ad performance and prevent showing the same ad repeatedly
- Detect invalid traffic and prevent ad fraud
You can limit ad personalization at any time through your device settings (Android Settings > Google > Ads > "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID," depending on your Android version). Opting out does not stop ads from showing, but limits how they are personalized.

6. THIRD-PARTY DATA SHARING
The App shares data with the following third parties, who process it on our behalf or under their own terms:
- Google (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy

- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Audience Network, via AdMob mediation) —

We do not share, rent, or sell your data to any other third party.
7. DATA RETENTION
Analytics, crash, and advertising data is retained by Google and its mediation partners in accordance with their own standard retention policies (Analytics data is typically retained for up to 14 months). We do not maintain a separate database of user data ourselves, since the App does not have accounts.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Imposter Malayalam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly show personalized ads to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
- Since the App has no accounts, there is no personal profile to access, edit, or delete.
- Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and in applicable US states, are presented with a privacy choices form when they first use the App, allowing them to consent to or decline personalized advertising and data sharing with our ad partners, including Meta Audience Network. You can review or change your choice at any time via Settings > Privacy Options within the App.
- You can also limit analytics and ad personalization at the device level through your Android device's Google Ads / Usage & Diagnostics settings.
- Uninstalling the App stops all further data collection from your device.
10. DATA SECURITY
All data transmitted from the App is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). While no method of transmission is 100% secure, we rely on Google's and our ad partners' industry-standard security infrastructure (Firebase, AdMob, Meta Audience Network) to protect this data.
11. TRADEMARKS, COPYRIGHT, AND FAIR USE
Imposter Malayalam is an independent, unofficial party game created for entertainment purposes. The App's word/category content may reference the names or likenesses of Malayalam films, actors, and characters for descriptive and identification purposes as part of gameplay categories.
- The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any film production house, actor, or rights holder mentioned or depicted within it.
- All film titles, character names, actor names, and any related images are the property of their respective copyright and trademark owners.
- Any use of such names or images within the App is intended to fall under fair use / fair dealing principles for the purposes of commentary, identification, and entertainment gameplay. This disclaimer does not itself grant any license or legal right to use copyrighted material.
- If you are a rights holder and believe any content in this App infringes your copyright or trademark, please contact us using the details below and we will review and address the concern promptly, including removal of the content if required.
Copyright Disclaimer: Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational, or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App's features, ad partners, or in Google Play's requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
