World Capital of Peace in America
Inaugurated in Washington Township, Kansas—
the Geographical Center of the US
New Capital to Make America Invincible
On March 28th, a new World Capital of Peace was inaugurated as a national center of coherence and harmony for America during global celebrations in Washington Township, Smith County, Kansas. The 480-acre site is located at the Brahmasthan (geographical center) of America—approximately 90 miles south of Interstate 80 and 128 miles north of Interstate 70, near the junction of US Hwy 281 and US Hwy 36.
The site will also be home to the Capital of the US Peace Government and its President Dr. John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist, director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.
His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Peace Governments around the world, gave an inspiring inaugural address to establish the new World Capital of Peace, and Dr. Hagelin followed with a keynote talk outlining the complete knowledge and programs to be offered at the World Capital of Peace to raise America to invincibility.
Global Ministers and Rajas—Administrators—of the US domains of the Global Country of World Peace also spoke during the four-hour global celebration. The inauguration was attended by government and civic leaders, as well as members of the press, and was broadcast live via satellite and Internet webcast on all continents.
Maharishi praised Dr. Hagelin as the supreme scientist of the Unified Field—the “Constitution of the Universe”—which administers the universe with perfect order. Under Dr. Hagelin’s leadership, Maharishi said, the World Capital of Peace will quietly transform US public policy to become positive and life-supporting for every individual—and to promote the freedom and invincibility of every nation.
Three functions of the World Capital of Peace to make America invincible
In his keynote address, Dr. Hagelin outlined the three central functions of the World Capital of Peace, which will make the nation invincible. Dr. Hagelin said the World Capital of Peace will serve as
A coherence-creating center for a group of several hundred peace-creating experts who will enliven the Constitution of the Universe and promote integrated national consciousness—the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration
A teaching center to train a new generation of leaders in Unified-Field based political science to prevent problems and promote life in harmony with natural law in all areas of society
A broadcast center to radiate the world-transforming knowledge and programs of the US Peace Government via satellite and Internet webcast to the whole population
Dr. Hagelin also explained the significance of establishing the World Capital of Peace in the Brahmasthan of the U.S. “According to the ancient Vedic science of architecture in harmony with Natural Law, the center point of a building, a city, or an entire nation is a powerful, strategic point characterized by dynamic silence. The Capital of World Peace will take natural advantage of this strategic point to produce the maximum influence of peace and positivity, which will radiate out—like the rays of the sun—across the entire country,” Dr. Hagelin said.
Construction on the World Capital of Peace is scheduled to begin immediately.
“The problems of America will disappear,
as darkness disappears with the onset of light”
Maharishi concluded the inauguration by saying that he is now focused on producing the effect of peace. “When you are lighting a lamp, it is not necessary to talk much about it—you simply light the lamp and the darkness disappears,” Maharishi said. “In the same way, under the leadership of Dr. Hagelin, real peace will quietly emerge on all levels of national life. Problems will disappear, as darkness disappears with the onset of light—and the whole nation will rise to permanent peace and invincibility. America will become a guiding light for every nation to rise to invincibility and for the whole family of nations to enjoy lasting peace.”

Wikipedia:
The "US Peace Government" has announced plans to build a national capital near Smith Center, Kansas in Washington Township, Smith County[citation needed]. A ceremony was held March 28, 2006.[24] Over 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) were eventually purchased.[25] Plans called for the construction of 12 to 15 buildings, including Peace Palaces and a broadcast center, at an estimated cost of up to $15 million.[26] The plans divided the community. Nine pastors wrote to the local newspaper with concerns about the souls of area residents while the Chamber of Commerce looked forward to the creation of new jobs.[25] The county planning commission placed a moratorium on any changes in land use in an effort to prevent the use of agricultural land for the capital, but they withdrew it after the movement threatened to sue in federal court.[27] In April 2009, a spokesman announced that two Peace Palaces were nearing completion.[28]

Maharishi speaking to the Global Conference on Education
Global Financial Capital of New York
New York, NY
9 May 2007:
"..I marvel at the expressions of Dr Hagelin. That he is able to conceive of the Central University, where he wants to train 40,000 students. It will take a year or two or three years for the students to become 40,000, but then this number will be completely enough. And even much before, he will create that invincibility in the world consciousness by creating small, small areas of this Central University in America. Dr Hagelin will have small, small universities in all these small, small countries, and each country will rise to invincibility with a few people. With a few people, like that, like that, like that.
So, the whole future of the world as far as education is concerned is so bright and so full of hope, absolutely.
I congratulate you, Dr Hagelin, you are able to speak Vedic wisdom on the level of wisdom of modern science.
Wisdom of modern science is made on physical enquiry — physical enquiry, open to senses, open to senses, open to senses. But Dr Hagelin has realised the basis of the senses.
Senses require the physical — some physical ears and eyes and all that — but the basis of this is mind, more abstract; intellect, more abstract; [active] abstract; ego, more abstract. Ego, individual, then comes on the level of cosmic ego.
That is the field of A-ham — I am A. I am totality. I am total Veda. I am the constitution of the universe. And, I am the expression of the constitution in terms of the universe: Aham vishwam. Aham vishwam, Aham vishwam— I am the universe, I am the universe, I am the universe. Before I am the universe, I am mySelf — I am totality. ‘Totality’ means: I am abstract, I am concrete — abstract, concrete, abstract, concrete, abstract, concrete. One, many, many, one, many, point, infinity, point, infinity, point, infinity. That is Aham. That I am — Aham. And that is Brahm, totality — that is universality. I am the universe. I am the Veda — total knowledge. This is total knowledge.
This is total knowledge, this is total knowledge.
This is total knowledge — which will be the realistic value of knowingness of each student of the Central University.
Beautiful, Dr Hagelin, go ahead. You have the blessings of the eternal tradition of Vedic knowledge, and you have the appreciation of the modern scientific age of scientific knowledge.
Your balance measures concrete values, and your balance measures equally well abstract values. You have a balance — and the balance is a unified field of concrete and abstract. This is your totality.
This is your Central University.
And you have your companions — they are bringing out its structure very quickly. You have well selected: America has been the most creative country in the scientific field — so, you have chosen the central point of America to be the seat of your Central University. You will be the guiding light of the whole world from that centre of America.
Congratulations to you — to bring out so clearly the total field of knowledge and associate it with the brain functioning, with the heart functioning, with the physiology and all that, all that, all that, all that. And you have the support of the greatest scientist of this age, Raja Raam, who said consciousness is the basis of physiology. Consciousness is the basis of physiology. His research in the field of consciousness is at your disposal. You are representing science and technology, of his ministry.
In every way, you are so fortunate, and the world is so fortunate to have you in its midst.
All Glory to Guru Dev

Special Zoom Conference Call
about the U.S. Brahmasthan
at Smith Center, Kansas
Discussion with Raja John Hagelin,
Allen Reminick, Jim Schaefer, Eric Michener, Wally DeVasier, and Carla Brown, Ed.D.
Saturday, August 12, 2:00 pm CT or
Sunday, August 13, 7:30 pm CT
Dear Certified Governors,
You are invited to one of two Zoom meetings this weekend to learn about the U.S. Brahmasthan in transition. There is a buyer for 309 acres, which is 83% of the total land. This would leave just 63 acres for the Brahmasthan project. Unless significant donations or investment capital can be raised this weekend, this purchase will conclude on Monday, August 14.
Rationale for retaining all the land at the Brahmasthan
Maharishi envisioned the Brahmasthan of every nation as a coherence-creating center for a group of several hundred peace-creating experts to enliven the Constitution of the Universe and promote integrated national consciousness—the basis of prevention-oriented, problem-free administration.
As Raja Hagelin has explained, “According to the ancient Vedic science of architecture in harmony with Natural Law, the center point of a building, a city, or an entire nation is a powerful, strategic point characterized by dynamic silence.”
During the conference call, the following points will be discussed:
Agricultural experts will provide context for retaining this irreplaceable land and water.
The land includes a Vedic Organic farm, the income from which has helped to support and maintain the property.
The property has abundant water in the form of four wells, which is essential for the future of the Brahmasthan to support a group larger than 300 people.
A large coherence-creating group can’t be sustained at this location if we relinquish the water.
To preserve this land and water, we don’t need to raise the entire sale price this weekend, but we need to show significant financial commitment.
Your donation will help
To contribute toward retaining the beautiful land that Maharishi purchased for the Brahmasthan project—property with enough water to support a large coherence-creating group—please donate to Global Projects for Peace. All donations to this non-profit 501(c)(3) organization are fully tax-deductible.
We look forward to seeing you on either of the two Zoom calls, Saturday or Sunday.
With best wishes,
Jai Guru Dev
