Image Compressor respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Image Compressor mobile application.
Image Compressor processes your images locally on your device.
Images selected for compression, resizing, conversion, comparison, saving, or sharing are not uploaded to our servers.
We do not operate a server for storing or processing your photos.
Your original images remain on your device, and processed images are saved locally only when you choose to save them.
Image Compressor uses the Android system Photo Picker to let you select images.
The app does not require unrestricted access to your entire photo library.
The app only receives access to the images you explicitly select.
Selected images may be temporarily accessed by the app while performing operations such as:
image compression;
image resizing;
image format conversion;
before-and-after comparison;
saving processed images;
sharing processed images.
We do not collect, upload, or remotely store the contents of your images.
Images may contain metadata such as:
date and time;
camera or device information;
orientation information;
technical photo information;
location information, if it exists in the original image.
By default, Image Compressor attempts to preserve supported metadata when creating processed images.
Users with Image Compressor Pro may choose to remove supported metadata from processed images.
Image metadata is processed locally on the device and is not sent to our servers.
Image Compressor may store information about recently processed images locally on your device to provide the Recent feature.
This may include information such as:
the location of the locally saved processed image;
type of processing performed;
image dimensions;
image format;
original and processed file sizes;
processing date or related local information.
This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Removing an item from the Recent list does not necessarily delete the saved image from your device gallery.
Image Compressor uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how the app is used and improve its performance and features.
Analytics may include information such as:
app launches;
screens or features used;
compression, resizing, and conversion events;
whether an operation succeeds, fails, or is cancelled;
use of Free and Pro features;
interaction with the Pro purchase screen;
general app performance and diagnostic information;
device and app information automatically provided by Firebase.
We do not intentionally send image filenames, image contents, image file paths, image URIs, EXIF information, GPS coordinates, or other photo content to Firebase Analytics.
Firebase may process certain device and usage information in accordance with Google's privacy practices.
The free version of Image Compressor uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements.
Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect or process information such as:
IP address;
approximate location derived from the IP address;
advertising identifiers and other device identifiers;
app interactions;
advertising interactions;
diagnostic and performance information.
This information may be used for purposes such as advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and security.
Google states that data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
Users who purchase Image Compressor Pro do not receive advertisements from the app.
Depending on your location and applicable law, Google may request consent or provide privacy controls relating to advertising and analytics.
Where required, advertising consent choices may affect whether personalized or non-personalized advertisements are shown.
Google also provides controls for advertising identifiers and advertising personalization through Android and Google account settings.
Image Compressor offers an optional one-time purchase called Image Compressor Pro.
Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing.
We do not directly receive or store your payment card information.
Payment processing and purchase verification are handled by Google Play.
We may receive information necessary to determine whether the Pro entitlement has been purchased or restored.
We do not require users to create an account.
We do not intentionally collect:
your name;
email address;
phone number;
passwords;
contacts;
precise GPS location;
photo contents;
image filenames for analytics purposes;
private image metadata for analytics purposes.
Image Compressor does not provide cloud storage or account synchronization.
We do not sell your personal information.
Certain information may be processed by third-party service providers used by the app, including:
Google Analytics for Firebase;
Google Mobile Ads;
Google Play Billing.
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and the services they provide.
Images processed by Image Compressor remain on your device unless you choose to save, share, move, or delete them.
Local application settings and Recent history remain on your device until they are removed through the app, cleared through Android settings, or the app is uninstalled.
Information processed by Google services may be retained according to Google's applicable policies and retention settings.
Image processing is performed locally on your device.
Where third-party Google services transmit information over the network, their SDKs use applicable security measures such as encryption in transit.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Image Compressor is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account or user profile.
Advertising and analytics services may operate according to Google's policies and the age-related requirements applicable to Google Play.
You can:
choose which images to provide to the app;
remove processed images from your device;
remove items from Recent history;
change supported app settings;
purchase Image Compressor Pro to remove advertising;
manage Android advertising and privacy settings through your device;
uninstall the app to remove locally stored application data.
Image Compressor uses services provided by Google.
Their privacy practices are governed by Google's own terms and privacy policies.
These services may include:
Google Analytics for Firebase;
Google Mobile Ads;
Google Play;
Google Play Billing.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
