In this talk, we will review some basic concepts of Bayesian inversion and Monte Carlo methods in numeric analysis and industry. The main objective is to show how statistical methods help to obtain a broader view when combined with numerical methods in some applications. I will present some applications and numerical results for epidemiological models, electromagnetic impedance tomography (EIT), and estimated cost.
