Dr. Ilora Maity (M.E., Ph.D.) is a researcher specializing in scalable and intelligent communication networks, with expertise in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Quantum Communication Infrastructure (QCI), network slicing, and satellite-terrestrial integrated networks. She previously worked as a Research Scientist in the SIGCOM group at the University of Luxembourg, led by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas.
She worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MOSAIC Lab, led by Prof. Tarik Taleb at Aalto University, Finland. Dr. Maity received her M.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (formerly Bengal Engineering and Science University), Shibpur, India, and her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, in 2011 and 2021, respectively.
Before transitioning to academic research, she worked as a Technical Analyst in Banking and Financial Services at Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, India, from September 2011 to July 2015.
Dr. Maity has authored more than 40 technical papers in leading international journals and conferences and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing. She received the Autorisation à diriger des recherches (ADR) from the University of Luxembourg in 2026.
