Welcome to IkuraDes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the application.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways when you use our App. The information we may collect includes:
A. Personal Data
When you register for the App, we collect personally identifiable information, such as:
- Name/Username
- Email Address
- Profile Picture
- College Affiliation (to verify eligibility and group listings)
B. User-Generated Content
We collect the content you create, upload, or receive from others when using our App. This includes:
- Information about items you list for sale (titles, descriptions, prices).
- Images/Photos of items you upload.
- Chat messages between you and other users.
C. Device & Diagnostic Data
We may automatically collect device information, such as your mobile device ID, model, and operating system, as well as crash reports and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics) to improve the stability and performance of the App.
D. Device Permissions
With your permission, the App may access your device's camera and photo gallery to allow you to upload images for your listings, and may send you push notifications to alert you of new messages or activity.
3. How We Use Your Information
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Facilitate communication between buyers and sellers via the in-app chat.
- Display your item listings to other users within your designated college network.
- Notify you of updates, new messages, or relevant activity.
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience.
- Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:
- Other Users: Your username, profile picture, and the contents of your listings are visible to other users in the App to facilitate the buying and selling process.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We use third-party services (such as Google Firebase) for authentication, database hosting, crash reporting, and image storage. These providers have access to your data only to perform these tasks on our behalf.
- By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.
5. Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption provided by Google Firebase. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your personal information for as long as it is required in order to fulfill the relevant purposes described in this Privacy Policy.Â
Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account directly within the App (by navigating to Profile > Settings > Delete Account), or you may request data deletion by emailing us at prashconfigapps@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your profile, listings, and personal data will be removed from our active databases.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
