Hello! I’m Md. Ikrama Hossain, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). I completed my BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied engineering.
My academic and research interests include plasmonics, inverse design, deep learning, and robotics, with a particular focus on computational photonics and applying machine learning techniques to optical and electronic system design. I enjoy exploring how intelligent algorithms and physical design principles can complement one another, and I am actively looking forward to collaborations in these areas.
As a student, I was deeply involved in robotics and technical leadership. I served as the Chairperson of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society IUT Student Branch Chapter and as Treasurer of the IUT Robotics Society, leading national-level competitions, workshops, and mentorship programs. I also served as a judge in multiple segments of Robolution 2025, organized by the MIST Robotics Society. Now, as a faculty member, I continue to support student-driven innovation and contribute to initiatives that strengthen hands-on learning and technical growth.
Beyond engineering, I’m passionate about football, traveling, and hiking, often finding inspiration in new places and unfamiliar paths. Whether working in a lab or trekking through the hills, I believe in staying connected — not just digitally, but emotionally and intellectually — to the world around me.
I take pride in leading through collaboration rather than titles, helping ideas move forward and empowering others to build alongside me. For me, engineering is not just a profession; it’s a way to create, understand, and contribute to something greater.
And through it all, I live by one simple belief:
"Learn every day, build through deeds, not words."
If you’ve made it this far — thank you. Feel free to explore the rest of my work. You’re always welcome to reach out.
